I just beat The Legend of Dragoon. Very good, about on par with FF7-9 at least in terms of production and scope. I did use a hack that rewrites the game since apparently the original TL is Google Translate tier? Anyway, very easy game up until the final boss which totally curbstomped me... first time I ever saw the game over screen... Still fun though. For PS1 I'm gonna try either Breath of Fire IV or Legend of Legaia next. Right now though I'm playing Shining Resonance since I need SOMETHING to play I haven't already on the dust collector (Switch 2) and justify the purchase. So far, it is the definition of mediocre. It's certainly a low budget PS3 game. It's no Holy Ark, that's for sure. Hopefully it gets better?Thanks for reading my blogpost.

All of these backed by an excellent musical score. Then they started fucking up with the second game with some retard sentai demon possession animefaggotry plot, ARMs being commonplace, a HORRID overworld radar system, some weird fixation on healing items not being purchasable, etc, etc. By the third game the uwu animufaggotry was in full swing, it was UGLY AS FUCK, everyone had guns, the battle system was pure garbage, everything was brownbrownbrown. They even had the gall to bring back Zeikfried and Asgard to shit them up. I didn't even touch the fourth, but they managed to make the fighting even fucking worse with some grid shit and doubled down further with the animefaggotry.

Cool a jarpig threadJust finished FF Legend 3 (SaGa 3), it was alright but the previous game was way better. I'm doing Tokyo Xanadu right now, very low budget game with high budget music, I have Xenogears and Romancing SaGa in the queue next. I generally do one long and one short game at a time, and since Xenogears is gonna be a few dozen hours long, I'll want a side game too. What's a short (15-20 hour) JRPG that I can pick up and play infrequently? I've done all the classic FF, DQ and MT games. Looking for something not as intense so I can focus my brain more on Xenogears.

Made Shadow Hearts thread the other day, got no answer for my question, so I save scummed the hell out of it these past few days, finally got my answer this morning. Just putting it here just in case someone else is also wondering.So yes, you can still get 99% of the good ending route's reward while still aiming for the bad ending (1st playthrough canon). You just have to NOT check the new small, white gravestone at all, especially after you defeat the masks. If _she_ fight the last fight alone, then you're set for the bad ending.Note I said 99% of the reward, because obviously you can't get the reward for that last fight because you have to lose. You can still get the final fusion and all the final weapons/armors, though, so it works out just as well in the end I suppose.

I am almost finished, basically in the last stretch where the main characters leave the party and become the main 4 niggas in a row.It was okay. You can play as 3 characters but all their endings are cliffhangers. They have their own story which is good and bad. Good because variety but bad because its hard to follow. They throw a lot of terms around that you might not get. If you only play one route and after you are done you might not even remember those terms but if you play them simultaneously you can also get lost.Also feels like Surlent and Sion stories are kind of irrelevant as they are dicking around foing their own thing while Ryza is the one actually doing things to improve the world (Like nost events the characters react to are related to Ryza's accomplishments.The word system is interesting but rather than following its systems I just made up my words.The bosses are bullshit. The game is your average turn based JRPG with trash mobs who barely do damage. But then you get to the boss who for most of the time one shots your team or your team is so slow that the boss 2 shots you if you didn't heal beforehand. Buffs and debuffs barely help. I almost gave up several times because the bosses were way too overtuned in comparison to the main game.Don't regret my time with it but I wouldn't really call it great like so many Square games back then.
