Was this really such a controversial statement in 2019?
Why does your entire generation communicate like that? Even in serious situations (you) talk like that. And then you wonder why nobody wants to hire you, or you can't afford to buy a home. Stop it
>>743606365FPBPNobody born after the turn of the millennia knows how to actually put one word after the other in order to articulate a coherent thought, their entire manner of speaking is just prewritten stock sentences, literally the thing that separates us from animals- the ability to actually use the language in an articulated manner- is lost on them, they talk like parrots "sQUAK polly want a cracker" "koko wanna play" "give me twitter screencap give twitter screencap give twitter screencap give me now"
>>743606232i don't care about how people play gamessome have brain damage so they need to cheat to barely beat the game
>>743606638i just don't get the appeal of cheating in order to wini understand cheating for fun messing around purposes like noclipping around the map or testing stuff or whatever, but i just don't see why you'd cheat to achieve a victory and then convince yourself you did it especially when cheating against othersto me that just seems like ape cargo cult thinking>if me play good, number on screen go big and game say i won>so that means>if number on screen big and game say i winned>me am good player? yes, me big skill! game says so!
>>>/twatter/
>>743606232It is especially now, whole generations are growing up with modern frictionless game design and can't cope when presented with a game over screen that doesn't let them retry immediately from 5 seconds ago.
>>743606232He can go and fuck off. AVGN used save states all the time
>>743606365>>743606437What are you retards even talking about?
>>743606232I play games to experience them and if they are good to finish them.I leave caring about "beating them" for children.Do i dont disagree but i never cared in the first place.
>>743607780And when repeating meme phrases doesn't work, they resort to their tried and true method of pretending not to understand the things that upset them
>>743607971*farts in your face*
>>743607569Modern gaming convinced an entire generation of retards that video games are just content to be consumed, so they see challenge as a flaw and cheating as a justified way to eliminate the flaw. "Beating a game" is just the same as "finishing the movie" to them, it's not supposed to be something to be proud of, but it's not supposed to demand anything of them either.
>>743607569Because all the "classics" are designed to waste your fucking time
>>743606232Nope
It's fine if you're using it as a way to get around limited continues but doing it constantly mid level is lame.
why would i go back to repeat a part i've already beaten just to get back to the part i haven't? what sort of backwards fucking pageantry is that?
games used to have an insert coin and start over design approach even on consoles because games were so light on contenti'm just skipping the insert coin and start over part as it is not relevant any more
>>743607971Why are you quoting a nature documentary?
>>743606232He’s right but sometimes I just wanna see the entire game
>>743606232No, he's 100% right. I did in fact cheat at super mario 3 and it felt ass playing games that way
>>743606232>Play through the final world>Defeat the final boss>Credits roll>Mario says "thank you so much, for-a playing my game!">Game save file updates with a tick to indicate completion and offers me the opportunity to move into NG+>Some autist on twitter screeching into the void at his three followers: "NOOO!"Well I guess that's that then, I didn't beat the game after all. Sumanai Miyamoto-san, I have failed you...
>>743613649The threat of needing to redo a bit you've already done raises the stakes. It heightens the emotional experience of encountering a difficult section. When there's actually something to lose (in this case, the time it would take to repeat the earlier bits), the tension goes up and the thrill of victory feels more earned. Games can be more than just a Content™ tube to be passively consumed and then forgotten.
>>743607780If you don't understand what the issue here is, you might be part of the problem.
>>743606232you can just silently discount anyone who says they beat a game like thatyou don't actually need to tell anyone that you do this. in fact you shouldn't, you just come across as an asshole for no reason, hurting yourself with no benefit.
>>743613649The more you have to lose, the better it feels to win.
>>743606232you definitely didn't beat the game if you do this. but it's alright if you already played it a lot and you just suck dick at it and want to see more of the game. like when you're a retarded kid.
>>743607909You aren't really experiencing the game if you're altering how it works at a fundamental level. Whatever you experienced failed to capture important aspects of what experiencing the game as it was available truly was, to the point any opinions you have formed about it don't actually pertain to it, and are misleading to someone actually playing the game. Now, you can still do whatever you want. But you need to understand what it is you're doing, and not lie to others about it.
>>743614085A lot of people don't say it, but act like they genuinely beat the game and comment about it like they have actual experience with it. These people need to be weeded out.
>>743607971I see.How about this: fuck off and stop replying to this thread you stupid shit faggot bitch cunt.
>>743606232I'd say playing old video games intended for children as a 45 year old man with 4 decades of experience is significantly less impressive and more cheating than a zoomer beating Mega Man with a rewind function. Wow, congratulations, as a fully grown childless man with probably 50000 hours of experience you can easily beat Contra III on SNES. I'm sure the developers designed the games difficulty with that level of mastery expected of the player and not a school child.
All Nintendo had to do was add a little Star to any game cleared without using rewind.
>>743606232It's the correct reaction whenever anyone brags about beating the game but using rewind, or in any other context talks about the difficulty of old games where emulators nowadays have a rewind.
>>743614449Didn't you know? Everyone used to know that Nintendo games were hard.
>>743614449>acquiring skill is more cheating than bypassing a skill check..ok?
>>743606232Faggots really take serious what other people do with emulated entertainment software. Ain't no fuckin' leaderboards or nothing, and the best speedrunner is guaranteed to be some unknown 'tistic troon. If someone is talking to you about having played a game you like, do you check their credentials first? And most of the motherfuckers sweating over shit like this will bottom frag and TANK any true competitive game. Stock-and-garter-wearing, perma-gaped faggots, anyone who thinks like this.
>>743606437Ive seen so many people be called AI because they dared have the IQ to talk like a normal human and post a few paragraphs of their thoughts instead of stock sentenced lmao
>>743614439Youre still doing it. You just replaced stock sentenced with buzzwords and curse words. Which just means we can laugh at you even harder for being mad and your post means even less than the others. Its like a child having a temper tantrum
>>743614305>You aren't reallyI don't care what others perceive as reallyWhat matters is my own personal experience>Whatever you experienced failed to capture important aspectsI don't care what others perceive as important aspectsWhat matters is my own personal experience>to the point any opinions you have formed about it don't actually pertain to it, and are misleading to someone actually playing the gameIt's a video game, not quantum physics, it's not that serious>you need to understand what it is you're doing, and not lie to others about it.I have no reasons to lie about how i play videogamesThey are toys, obsessing over "the correct way" to use and experience said usage of a toy is below my intelligence and dignity
>>743614732>If someone is talking to you about having played a game you like, do you check their credentials first?Yes
>>743606232Reminder that literally nobody cares what you accomplish in a single player game other than you. You're not some popular streamer or speedrunner - you can do whatever the fuck you want.
>>743614673Yeah pretty much, it's like if a MLB pro baseball player went to a pewee tee-ball game full of preschoolers and was like "If you use the tee that holds the ball thats not standard in many tee-ball games then you DID NOT by any stretch of the imagination play the god damn game."This shit was designed for children, not fully grown adults with decades of training and practice. If LeBron James wanted to play basketball against a youth team that shit would be cheating even if he followed the rules.
>>743614923>You're not some popular streamerI actually am.
>>743614875The kind of people who do that shit have zero respect for the medium, and you're just proving it.
>>743606232>@Literal Who>[I HAVE AN OPINION]Ban this shit, unironically. Get a mother fucking life, OP. Fucking kill yourself at worst. Holy fucking shit fuck you.
>>743614923>You're not some popular streamerDon't trigger all the zoomers, they're gonna have a mental breakdown
>>743606232this man has a 10 inch cocki have no choice but to listen to what he says
>>743614732>do you check their credentials first?Absolutely. If I know they're some rewind spammer faggot, I know to it ignore their opinion on any game, since it's completely worthless.
>>743614923>You're not some popular streamerI used to stream Wii U games and once I had like 24 concurrent viewers while playing Hyrule Warriors when it was new which I think even to this day would put me above 99% of streamers. So technically maybe I am.
>>743615025>respect for toysyou have to be autistic or a child (or both) to care about what others do with their toys and if they "respect" themdo you also criticise lego owners of using them wrong and building wrong things with them?
>>743614879You forgot to attach the gigachad image for maximum effect. I will allow it.What is the point of doing this? If you would like to admit you are a status-driven ape, no better than a nigger, and you like the piss-warm delusion of being better than other people [at SINGLE PLAYER VIDYA, L-M-A-O], this would be would be a fine time to do so. Or you can lie and cope, which is where I placed my bet. Go on, make me rich.
>>743614923Did you think you were making a point here? Of course the only person that cares is me, but that's more than enough reason to give a shit. It's called self-respect. Try it out sometime.
>>743607569there's a fine line. I used save states in mega man x because the fucking save system doesn't keep your lives or tanks, so I'd save state at the beginning of each end level after farming to save the time of re-doing it every fucking time I game over'ed. Technically cheating because you can't do that on original hardware, but ultimatey just a save point to save time. and I beat the game.
>>743615125I would fall for this if I were not one of God's strongest warriors. Get behind me, Satan.
>>743615185>self-respect is when I give other people a hard time for enjoying video gamesOh, look, little gup is winning.
>>743615170>Playing with toys as an adultWhat's wrong with you?
>>743615170>do you also criticise lego ownersyes. I just found out like last year that grown adults still play with legos. I never even played with them as a kid. that is too far and I cannot condone it.
>>743615380They usually just build giant ones, which is broadly fine IMO. If you do actually find one who plays with them then you're right
>>743614875These types of responses are always so funny. That's great for you man. Didn't beat the game though lol
It's a quality of life feature, you still need to actually play the game and beat the challenge.
>>743615282Yeah, in the same way I would give a person shit if they routinely bought puzzle boxes just to bust them open with a handsaw and a hammer. The whole reason the thing exists is to present an exercise, and that exercise involves overcoming a challenge. If someone is just gonna cheat to circumvent the entire reason the thing exists in the first place, that's strange and questionable behavior that deserves to be called out.
>>743615532It is THAT simple. Thank you for being reasonable anon. Niggas be on some dumb shit because guaranteed replies are better than heroin. There is an upper reach of this by the way, like someone save state-ing after every platform jump because they are allergic to fail states. Most people are not doing that.
>>743615532>>743615689didn't beat it tho
>>743615296>>Playing with toys as an adult>What's wrong with you?I do things that bring me fun, caring about what "can you" or "can't you" do as an adult is something people with self-esteem problems do >>743615527>That's great for you man. Didn't beat the game though lolI already said:I play games to experience them and if they are good to finish them.I leave caring about "beating them" for children.
>>743615806no one is saying that you have to care that you didn't beat the game. we simply ask that you acknowledge it. you're incapable of beating the game without massive overreaching "quality of life" features. and that's ok!
>>743615668?????????????????????????????????If someone was doing that with puzzle boxes, I would have to ask a question because that is so far outside of how one expects such an object to be used.It is not unreasonable to assume that, given the opportunity, people would take advantage of the ability to make their own checkpoints. These player-directed checkpoints can shift the challenge of that experience: the challenge, inherent to the whole shape of the game, cannot be "circumvented," only modified. What is with the weird obsession with "cheating"? A misapplication and clear attempt to moralfrog if ever there were one.
>>743610869All games are designed to waste your time so maybe you're in the wrong hobby
>>743615760Nah, u gon hafta try harder if you want a more serious (you). Here is your tuppence for trying, though.
>>743607569>me am good player? yesyou see, this is where your (autistic) misconception comes from. people don't cheat in games so they can tell themselves they are good.
>>743606232I beat the game as i treat every game as pc game where I can f5/f9 at any time
>>743615942Are you ESL? Is there no difference between spending time and wasting time? Video games, at their best, are designed for people to -spend- time on. If all games are routine wastes for you, or if you are playing games which waste your time, that is not good.
>>743615860when I grew up, I realized that liking things like pokemon or mlp means that you are mentally ill and not childish. and if you act like a child while you're an adult, that usually means the authorities should check your hard drive.
>>743616105Normalfag fuckwit. Chad needs you on Slack, bro.
>>743615872>we simply ask that you acknowledge it.I don't spend my time acknowledging things i do not care aboutYou acknowledged that in your opinion "i didn't beat the game" and that's perfectly fine
>>743614998Jesse?
>>743606232If I use official features in the version of a game I have legally bought and nothing else, yes, I did beat the game.
>>743616141pokemon is the biggest normalfag franchise ever, and normalfags are severely mentally ill, so it checks out.
Mike "The Coward" Matei
>>743616242>normal>severe mental illnessI guess language never did mean anything, huh.
>>743616156>"i didn't beat the game"now just say this without your gay little dismissive quotes, and we can wrap this up
>>743616317I guess you don't go out much, because anyone who has to deal with normalfag will confirm their mental illness on a whim.
A shame how nuance is all but dead and generalizing statements like that are the norm. Rewind where, for what purpose? There are a number of ways to use functions like savestates and speedups and a good number of them have 0 impact on the game's challenge. Rewinding/loading a state at the start of a level to avoid menus and loading screens is not the same as rewinding to the start of a boss fight.
>>743615806So playing with toys is something adults can do, but caring about the art form of videogames is childish? Yeah, right. Just say you're incapable of engaging with anything at a deeper level and can only use things for mindless fun.
>if you did [thing], you didn't beat the gameAnd you care... why exactly?
>>743606232Why should I care if I beat the game? I care about having fun.
>>743615532Calling it "quality of life" is cope. The simple fact of the matter is that needing to beat an entire section without failing constitutes a higher skill check. Passing 10 obstacles in sequence is substantially harder than if there was a checkpoint between each one. I could type a wordswordswords explanation proving this, but the TL;DR version of it goes something like this:>when you pass an obstacle, that doesn't mean you're skilled enough to pass that obstacle 100% of the time>for any individual obstacle, it's very possible to pass it once when your skill level is only enough to overcome it like 20-30% of the time>if there's a checkpoint between each obstacle, that means you could walk away from the section with a skill level that fails at each obstacle most of the time>if there's no checkpoints and all 10 obstacles need to be beaten in sequence, it's simply not possible to beat that section until you git gud enough to very consistently beat the first seven or eight obstacles
>>743614798these are all stock sentences
>>743616335No, you slag-plowing, pox vector, you are the dismissive one. A person reaches the end of the campaign and you tell them, while they are watching credits roll, that they did not beat the game. What is is that?
>>743614875>below my inteligence and dignity hahahahaa. If you had any, you wouldn't be wasting time on LE EXPERIENCING shitty video games where he has to CHEAT to even see the ending. You are not experiencing shit. You are coping for having a brain damage. Its ok to not respect the medium or be too stupid for it. That's fine. But in that case, shut the fuck up retard. Imagine going to a footbal game, saying yu don't really watch football, you just come to games to experience the football and everyone else who actually cares about is obsessed and low IQ and dude it's just football why are these people like interested in the game? They should be interested in "experiencing" the game like me with my big thinking fedora. Didn't beat the game AND you are also a mASSIVE faggot kek
>>743606232Same as savestates it's cheating. As in not the way it was originally intended to finish the game. Cheatcodes always existed but i don't get it. The story for arcade/platformers are not worth seeing. It's like doing a marathon and halfway jumping into an taxi. congrats you made it to the finish line.
>>743615806>I play games to experience them and if they are good to finish them.>I leave caring about "beating them" for children.>>743616426>you tell them, while they are watching credits roll, that they did not beat the game. What is is that?lmfao. looks like it really does bother you faggot. There is a solution, you can beat the game. If you're man enough. Or you can stay a pussy your whole life.
>>743616378Dude, even rewinding to the start of a boss fight is distinct from save state mid fight because "I just want it do be done," or whatever would cause someone to do that.
>>743616374Your autism and self-important misandry ain't my problem, chief. Also, did you miss the Evie posting? The Stellar Blade girl? Niggas love moving like they want their harddrives checked.
>if you did thing you didn't beat the game>meanwhile speedrunners use all sorts of glitches, bugs, custom mapping schemes, external software, multi-controller shenanigans and so on and it's all valid and they're considered masters of their respective games because the timer is lowGenuinely "it's ok when they do it"
>>743616510>you can beat the game. If you're man enough.Well, I called you a slag-plowing pox vector, so I deserve a shitpost in reply. We are even, but try harder.
>>743616616>and they're considered masters of their respective games because the timer is lowI actually think they're all fucking faggots personally
>>743606232Less controversial than the Loco Bandito I reckon
>>743616616#Not all speedgamersThere are glitchless and 100% categories and even the glitch categories often ban some glitches.
>>743616635ok fine you're gonna stay a pussy your whole life. I hope you enjoy it, it just couldn't be me
>>743616616They don't use things outside the game, retard. What are you talking about?
>>743616616A speed run is a performance of mastery, so it might be excusable on the grounds that, "the speedrunner exceeds the required skill."
>>743615903It's funny that you recognize the absurdity of smashing the puzzle box open, but then somehow see it as different somehow when it's cheating to circumvent challenge in a video game instead. Fascinating mental gymnastics at play.
>>743616694Oh, my yonic life. Poor me.
>>743613649it's meant to teach you a lesson. if you didn't have that then their games could be beaten in less than 2hr
>>743616335>now just say this without your gay little dismissive quotesYou don't get to tell me what i do and what i don't do unfortunatelyBut you can imagine i did something if that makes you feel better>>743616382>So playing with toys is something adults can doYes>but caring about the art form of videogames is childish?Art form of videogames is about videogames themselves and people who make them and how they make themHow you play your videogame when you purchase has nothing to do with art, don't get ahead of yourself>>743616430You seem very angry with how i experience things i pay for, even though i absolutely do not care in the slightest how you experience things you pay for>>743616510>There is a solution, you can beat the game. >>743606232BROWNBRICKS
>>743616715Cheating is using an Action Replay or pressing buttons at the start screen, guy. When one emulates a game or play it through the Nintendo virtual machine, or whatever, that player is embracing a feature native to that platform. Go have a bowl of Trix, the sun's out now.
>>743615025The game devs generally don't care.
>>743606232I personally couldn't care less. Sperging out over the detail is manchild-like.
None of these "you didn't beat the game" fags ever post credentials. Anyone can shitpost on Xitter, now show me a livestream of you beating a hard game legit. It's like soulsfags bitching about magic or poison or whatever because an invader killed their ass with it and meanwhile what they consider legit is a turbo str build that stunlocks everything in the game and shaves half a boss' hp in one attack.
>>743616996Preach.
>>743606232>screencap slopHello plebbit
>>743606232What's even the point of playing 8 and 16bit retro games if you don't try to legitimately "beat" them? These are pretty short games, some as short as 30 minutes if you know what you are doing. The whole point is the challenge, learning the game and improving until you can beat it in one sitting. Like you're not gonna see a deep story or mind blowing writing in Castlevania NES, if you don't enjoy the process of mastering the controls, learning level layout and boss pattern and overall getting better at the game why even waste your time with it?
>>743616857Nobody is angry at you. People are mocking you and calling you a faggot. It's good that you don't care in the slightest that you happen to be unironically the Dunning-Kruge faggot. Too bad that the way you have chosen to experience this website is by being a disingenuous faggot baiting for attention
>>743617080there is nothing more annoying than replaying a level which I already finished for the fifth time only because the game is centered around eating your quarters or stretching that 30 minutes into 8 hours so you don't feel ripped off
>>743606232Everyone who played SNES games using ZSNES more than 20 years ago used save states.

You can say you beat the game, but you get an asterisk by it specifying you used external tools to do so. The problem is only when you want the asterisk removed and want people to validate your playthrough like a tranny (speedrunners do use savestates heavily so there's overlap there)
>>743617879>you didn't really experience themI don't care what others perceive as reallyWhat matters is my own personal experience
>>743618020>I don't care what others perceive as reallyyet here you are having an autsitc arguement on /v/ seeking validation about savestates
>>743614798>he’s using stock words and phrases invented and taught to him by other humans>cant even invent his own language with its own sub dialects and phonemes separated from the family tree of indo-european based syntax Pfft, amateur.
>>743617301Then why are you fucking playing these arcade style games? What you want is content to consume, just play something more recent with console style game design sensibilities where progression is a given and not a reward. When you play a song with an instrument you are expected to play through the whole song, you don't get to restart at the last part you fucked up. When you run a Marathon you don't get to start at the 10km mark because you already ran 10k last time. You are expected to get good enough to reach the point, through repetition and progressive overload to as to where you can beat the game in one go with whatever lives or continues limitations the game imposes on you. If that's not something you are interested in why the fuck are you playing arcade style games instead of the modern slop that guarantees progress™ so you can consume the content™ you paid for?
>>743606365>Why does your entire generation communicate like that?I believe they're that way because they're not taught how to read letters, but how to read words
>>743618212>You are expectedexpected by who exactly lmaooooo

>>743613649>but I don't want to optimize my play or refine my skill>Just let me brute force everything because I'm a faggot that doesn't even like playing gamesWhy don't you just watch a playthrough on youtube then?
>>743618092>yet here you are having an autsitc arguement on /v/ seeking validation about savestatesI do not care about validation
>>743618212buddy do you think all the old games have to offer is a constant kicking in the balls with the grand prize being the kicking stops and it won't hurt anymore?
>>743606232he's a galactic faggot eclipsed only by you for posting that shit
>>743606232I used save states and rewind on games and I don't give a fuck what some douchebag on the internet has to say about it.
>>743616404The only reason these games made you do this was due to memory limitations. If they could, these games would have offered quicksaves, autosaves, checkpoints etc.
>>743606232I watch Mike Matei content but I disagree here. If video game publisher added feature in game, then I can use that feature end of story
>>743613649Imagine playing the piano. You are saying reading the keys and playing one at a time with arbitrary pauses and continuing, just to finish the piece, is the same as playing the entire song in one go with no weird pauses or going back, as it was intended to?
>>743618472Okay, what else do NES games really have to offer beyond the gameplay and challenge? The graphics are incredibly limited, story is non existent and if it even exists it's in the manual, memory limitations prevent these games from having any sort of gameplay depth beyond which powerup you grab or avoid. The fun comes from the game kicking your ass and you figuring out how you can kick its ass instead. The reward is mastery.
>>743618628>memory limitationsit was mostly cost, it was possible to do saves but you needed to put a battery in the cartridge like with say Legend of Zelda or Dragon Questmost NES games and SNES games you were lucky to even have a shitty password system
>>743618472Thinking of it as "kicking in the balls" is a you problem. Playing through a previous segment and getting more consistent at it isn't supposed to be some masochistic exercise like you're making it out to be. If playing the game really feels like that much of a water of time to you, then perhaps you're just not the audience.Being able to inconsistently get through each individual segment of a game is not the same as learning to do the whole thing with whatever restrictions the original developers put there. It's fine if you really didn't care about that and just want to see everything(sounds like you might actually care a bit though), but acting like those restrictions have no meaning beyond "wasting time" is annoying.
>>743618628And they eventually did but they did so as the game design changed and evolved and completely abandoned arcade 2D design. The games being hard to beat is something gamers wanted at the time because if you could just blast through all the levels with zero friction it would make for a boring experience. If you only have a couple dozen of levels you want to make them count, you want to make every little decision the player makes to have meaning and consequences.
>>743618628>he thinks save systems didn't exist in the 80sMost games didn't have them because they'd only be like an hour long or less if they gave you checkpoints or let you save whenever.Imagine spending $60-$70 in 1980s money on a game you can 100% on your lunch break. You were never intended to beat the game on your first try, it's as simple as that.
>>743619169The issue is that people are acting like this is a massive flaw that makes old games without savestates pure CBT when this sort of deal was what people craved and still play 80s games to experience. It's the smugness of saying devs were too retarded and incompetent back then but us modern enligthened gamers know better.
>>743618776>>743619121you niggas got some stockholm syndrome shit over thisI can enjoy simple gameplay with retro feeling while you two are basically saying "yeah it's shit but it's really hard so you have to play it again and again until you manage to beat it"
>>743606232So we can use rewind on gen, GB and n64?
>>743606232This only matters to people who take pride in beating video games, and if completing a digital children's toy is a significant source of pride for you then something is very very wrong. The reason I won't use these features is because I don't want to trivialize the game and deprive myself of the challenge which is the main source of fun. I don't give a shit what some autistic faggot thinks of my ability to beat video games.
>>743610783I'm 34 years old and this is how I view video games. Challenge is there to serve fun, because trying to solve challenges is fun. When the game becomes punishing rather than challenging, when it starts wanting to actively irritate and bore me so that I can feel some relief when the irritation and boredom stops, it has failed in its purpose.
>>743617080The whole point is the experience of it in a way that you want to experience it. You yelling at my face that i didn't do something you arbitrarily chose to do is not "reasonable".
>>743606232Save states are only acceptable when the game lacks a dedicated save function or you need to stop playing and go do something else at short noticeRewind and arbitrary save stating is only acceptable if you're making a TAS for entertainment and know the game like the back of your hand.
>>743620117>When the game becomes punishing rather than challenging, when it starts wanting to actively irritate and bore me so that I can feel some relief when the irritation and boredom stops, it has failed in its purpose.Where do you draw the line? Can you provide examples? Because I read it as "as long as the game is easy enough for my low level of skill then it's good challenge but the moment it throws friction at me or asks me to git gud it shambles my self image of being an über gamer, makes me feel insecure and we can't have that, it's always the games fault if I suck, not mine".
>>743606365Which generation do you think Mike Matei belongs to?
>>743620243>You yelling at my face that i didn't do something you arbitrarily chose to do is not "reasonable".>arbitrarilyNigga never played on the actual console to have the actual experience intended by the devs then gets whiny when called out about rewinding every 5 seconds in an emulator
>>743620493Except that i did because i played on the console and i get to enjoy retrying/fast forwarding on games. Go back to your corner. You are no authority on how people should enjoy the products they buy
>>743620243Why do you want to experience it in the most milquetoast boring dogshit way possible though?Again, you might as well just watch a playthrough if you're not interested in actually playing the game. That's choosing how you want to experience it too, no?
>>743620568>You are no authority on how people should enjoy the products they buyYes I do. If I love telescope and I see you buying telescopes to stick them inside your ass instead of using them properly I have the moral need to call you out on your faggotry.
>>743620243I don't know, would you really go around and claim you ran a 10k if you walked all the way through and even used an electric scooter for some incline segments? Would you act surprised when an actual runner told you that you that didn't complete a 10k?
>>743606232I used the rewind to do pic rel
Did you know that "arcades machines" used to have an "INSERT COIN" slot to play?
>>743614875Videogames are the highest artform currently on the planet. It's people like you that make it to where no one takes it seriously. But that's just one reason why it's dying.
>>743606232He's right and the developers of those games would agree with him.
>>743606232>letting people dictate how i play my gameLol. Lmao even. Touch grass.
