I'm pretty excited to see who the new blade in 2 is going to be. I'm not expecting it to be anything *too* crazy, but some additional lore could be fun. Given that KOS-MOS' VA recorded some new lines, she might be relevant to the blade quest in some way (though that could just be lines for the merc missions mode). Maybe it'll be Shion to make the Sagafags go ga-ga. I like that Monolith has gotten into the habit of appending new gameplay styles into their games as of late:- Racing mode into 1- "Action" gameplay mode into 2- Roguelike and vampire survivors modes into 3Makes me wonder if we'll get something like that in Genesis' DLC or base campaign. It'll obviously be easier to stomach if you've got any fondness of tropey shonen anime, but I think the game has worth even if you despise it as long as you can overlook it. The gameplay might be slow at first but once you learn the nuances it feels rewarding to play. The story might start off slow but it expands with every chapter and the last few chapters are genuinely amazing. The main cast might be one of the best JRPG casts there is and the villains are pretty good too for the most part. The music and the world building is easily top 3 out of all JRPGs of all time.It's not all good obviously, like a lot of people have problems with the gacha and field skill mechanics, though I personally don't mind them a whole lot. The game doesn't explain the battle system or any of its nuances at all, so you're basically forced to read a guide if you wanna be anywhere close to effective in battle. That said I kinda think the game is balanced around you not figuring out everything right away since you can easily make yourself overpowered and breeze through the game.
