>>743739402gameplay-wise, its fine. my issues with it is the loot is nothing but crafting materials in a game where crafting materials are plentiful. everything you kill drops them, every quest you do rewards them. youll never find a box with a weapon or armor piece. its just junk to keep your ammo topped up and trade for equipment, but you get access to basically the best stuff fairly early in the game, so less than halfway through the game you no longer feel a need to do anything. also half the skill tree is fairly pointless and the other half is so important youd have to be braindead not to beeline them.shout outs to the most halfassed fast travel system ive ever seen.>you can only travel by using a consumable>it only takes a couple common materials to craft it>every other human also drops them>in the first big city you can buy an infinite travel item for a pittancewhats the point

Very overhated on /v/ for no reason, Aloy isn't even ugly in this one
It has some cool enemy designs, but the game is very forgettable. Not bad in an objective sense, but just very, very dull.

Fun game. Hunting mecha dinos is fun.Lot of interesting ideas. Damaging specific parts of the machines to weaken them or deactivate things like weapons, trackers etc.Dealing with elemental stats, who is weak and strong against specific weapons and elements, setting up traps for bigger targets.All the combat is fun. The rest is OK. Stealth is the mist barebones shit ever. Climbing and exploring are just as barebones.Story I wouldn't know. I skipped every cutscene and dialogue 2 hours in. Characters aren't interesting or charismatic at all. And plot feels like girl boss type of woke shit sony loves to crap.Get both, if they are cheap

If you want a fun combat game with rich scifi - this is it. The sequel wasn't as good because the story got super convoluted but the gameplay is still nice.
