N20.Neither of us was very good at it, I don't think we ever got past level 6 and I could rarely make it to 5 when I played it alone. I've never really thought about it before, but my dad and I didn't really play many games together. There were definitely a lot of times he just watched me play though. I miss him. Don't smoke.
My mom was really good at Puzzle Fighter and Dr. Mario. We played Flappy on the NES, Mario Kart on the WII and Ridge Racer on the PS1. She would also enjoy watching me play Tomb Raider. She plays phone and tablet games now, like Mahjong and Backgammon.
I remember renting this game with my brother, but just as we were about to start playing, a friend of ours called out through the window or something, so we went out, leaving the game on.When we got back, my dad had completed all the tournaments in every country. I wasn't expecting something like that, he almost never played anything other than Windows 3.1 games.

>>743742604I have found dads that arent gamers from my friends and my own dad seem to like Gran Turismo 7, War Thunder, Company of Heroes 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and Fallout 4. So non gamer dads seem to like games with lots of visual flair, accessable controls, and gameplay with action but still has a little bit of thought present. My friend's dad bought a gaming PC and at 72 years old is smoking people at War Thunder. My dad also oddly enough found Surgeon Simulator 2013 fucking hilarious.
I've beat every single Borderlands game with my Dad now, but we always come back to BL2.Hes a completionist so I end up helping him grind a lot of achievements tooHes a huge gamer but this is the only series we actually play together.I've actually played a borderlands game with four members of my family at different times (Dad, Sister, Grandpa and Wife)
My dad thought they were gay. His stepdad gave me a ps1 though as he was already too old for it, my mom played one of the original toy story games with me thanks mum

I could have bonded with my dad over vidya, but he just never gave a fuck to spend time with me. They don't read either, just watch TV. Me and my mom would bounce games off each other. She taught me build orders in Red Alert and i showed her warcraft 3. I rented Champions of Norrath, she bought a copy for herself on christmas. Her favoeite new games were Resident Evil 4 on ps2 and Dragons Dogma on 360. Last year i gave Blizzard money so she could play Diablo 2 with a controller. I love you mom.

>>743742448I didn't play with him, but as good a place as any to remember. My dad played Phantasy Star (the original on SMS) when I was a toddler. He had hand drawn maps on the wall. On the last dungeon he ended up calling the Sega help line to figure out the last dungeon. It's impacted me my whole life. I love the utopian future sci fi aesthetic it had. Then it was off to the races for my brother and I. We were the gamers. I remember my mom taking to Klax when we rented it. She also liked Tetris on vacations. The only other game I remember her playing was Suikoden 2, not sure what it was about that one that she gravitated towards but recently she told me about how she liked building up her town. My dad was a blue collar through and through, VP foreman of an iron foundry. When his health began to decline he spent a lot of time idle which I'm sure drove him crazy. He started playing Breath of the Wild. I remember coming home one night after getting obliterated, I was a mess , still yakked out, and he just wandered around in the game and spent the time with me. Years later I can imagine how disappointed he must've felt seeing me like that, but the hard ass didn't say a word about it, he bought some bulky earth armor set because I said it looked cool. I miss him every day. Every day. It never goes away.
