Bros I'm not gonna lie I reached Tekken God Supreme (basically the second highest rank from whatever SF6 has as their highest for any 6tards) but I don't think I'm really that good at the game. All I do is just overheads and lows when I can and sometimes side steps and do my jabs into counter hit. I play Kazuya so this is basically my gameplan from the start anyway. I don't really do electrics or wavedash cancel mixes, just wavedash when I can for hellsweep or big fist. I dunno. It would just feel weird if I reached GOD because that's supposed to be the top rank and it's like... 5% of players right? I don't think I'm that good. I know they introduced GODMega for the true sweats but I probably won't even bother with that because I don't play the game for serious money or am that much of a Tekken diehard, I got in with Revolution for fucks sake. Personally, if I have to choose between a cast that's boring to play as but tolerable to fight against or a cast that's interesting to play as but tedious to go up against, I'd choose the latter. There's plenty of characters in older fighting games where that kind of design was more prevalent that I find insufferable, and of course not every game has to be full on kuso or be as bland as possible, and I'm also sure it's a tough balance to get right, but if it has to be slanted one way or the other, I'd rather it lean towards the characters being fun to play as.To me, 2.0 Asuka feels like a character where him being fun to play as was an afterthought, the main priority being making sure people wouldn't find him too annoying to go against regardless of how it felt to actually play him. Obviously I don't know what they were actually thinking with him during the patch, but I never want to play a fighting game character and come away with the impression that the developers weren't overly concerned with whether the character would actually be fun or interesting.
