Wait.... that's it? I paid $25 for a 3 hour game...?
>>
>>743761597
It took me 9 hours, did you get the alt ending and do full circle?
>>
Did you really?

There's an alt ending?

Great atmosphere, art direction, and jumpscares by the retarded creature, even though it clipped through the walls a couple of times on my end. It's a mere miracle that it actually came out and it was actually good. Must have been some crazy black magic to get UE5 running well on the 13 year old Xbox One
>>
>>743762565
Full circle, its one of three. Did you just do what the gane told you?
>>
>>743762719
I only played it once months ago.
>>
Game developer here, what would you do to improve routine? Serious question. Heading off to bed. I will read this in 5 hours time your replys

I bought this because it was bundled with SOMA so I figured I would be in for some big think existentialism again. Instead I got a confusing mystery box story with no resolution or answers.
I did find Entity A to be sufficiently disturbing tho

He did the routine

>3 hour game
you didn't play it you liar. six hours if ignore the stealth and sprint through everything not caring how many times you die
>>

>3 hour game...?
You colossal lying faggot
>>
>>743761754
Explain yourself right now.
>>
This game has great aesthetics and the second half of the game is actually pretty scary. Unfortunately the story is atrocious which brings down the game a lot. If the story was as good as SOMA's then this game would be an easy 9/10.
>>
>>743764173
The story is fine.

acting like average 8 hours is fine for a $25 game

Is there ever a reason given for why whoever created the service robots decided to give them shark eyes and a scary smile? How does that make them better robot butlers?
>>
>>743764381
in 2026 yeah
>>
>>743763707
No. But I will tell you that back peddling is a must

I remember discovering this thing in that pose, in a dark corner and just kinda sat there dumbfounded
>was that always there...?
and then it woke up and killed me lol

Didn't realize it was the same thing as in the basement.

the value of a dollar is always going down

I don't want to run away from these gmad thighs, I want to lick them
why would the devs of a horror game make the enemies so juicy
>>
>>743764571
They're repurposed riot police robots.
>>743764268
It's intriguing until the second half where it takes a massive shit and never recovers. It fizzles out with no payoff and everything remaining unexplained nonsense.
>>
I shall now try to recall the game's story several months after playing it.
>it's the 90s, you play as a software engineer called to the moon to fix a software issue
>the software issue at hand being that the moon base AI has detected mushroom space sickness and has begun a quarantine/space station culling
>you shut down the AI
>your mushroom space sickness causes you to unconsciously venture into a deeper facility from the 70s where scientists were studying a crevasse in the moon
>the crevasse is filled with fungus spores that make people go insane and wander off so they can feed the shrooms
>also for some reason two aliens come out of the crevasse and begin to watch the scientists
>the female alien chokes on an apple and dies
>the CEO of 70s space science becomes obsessed with the corpse of the female alien
>Entity A as encountered in the game is either the mate or child of the dead female alien
>you are compelled by the mushroom space sickness to inject moon semen into the moon, whereupon you wander into the crevasse and die just like everyone else
>a decade later, another team of people arrive and find the moon all fungus'd out and are about to be raped by space sickness for at least the third time
Did I miss anything important? Why are the Entity aliens so... not really relevant?

That's basically it. Feels like there was supposed to be a third act where all the plot points come together but there's not.
>>
>>743762565
>>743762821
There's no alternate ending, he's a lying faggot mad that people don't get his heckin deep slowburn with zero story and think he can trick you into walking backwards through the game several times and driving up the playtime hours.

I'm at 5.9 hours for a full run, and that's with probably 30-45 mins of pausing the game to cook something, and maybe an earnest 20 mins trying to figure out where to go.
There's very little to see or find outside of the set path. Yeah you can stand there and watch a shitty video on the computer for 5 minutes woo read some emails yay!!
I'm a retard and it took 5.9 hours. There's literally nothing to the game. I'm not spending hours hiding and trying to sneak past the monsters they can't get me in a vent I just wait 30 seconds and sprint to the next vent.
>>
>>743761597
If you think that’s bad then wait till you hear tendies paid $60 for a 45 minute one with star fox.
>>
>>743764173
>atrocious story
>about a fungi colony isolated on the moon becoming increasingly efficient assimilating its human hosts and recombining its dna
It ain't Routines fault (you) have shit taste
>>
>>743766080
Yea. The ASN (AI) was pleading with the engineer to not shut it down by showing hints of infection. But it became increasingly obvious the protagonist was infected and under the influence since the first second routine started
>>
reading this thread has convinced me the people whinging about media illiteracy actually had a point
>>
>>743762825
A bit more time in the modern area of the moon base. A bit more focus on exploration and letting me see different areas. It seems like the tourist moon base at the start was pretty big but you don't really see much of it.
Honestly i like it when horror games start "normal". Have the guy sent to do diagnostic work on the computer shit actually begin the game doing just that. Everything is normal, you do some computer puzzles, then shit goes south. Also think Still Wakes the Deep could have used a bit of that at the start. Contrast the normal shit with horror later in the game. I liked SOMA because of that, you start off and everything is fine and then it all goes to hell.
>>
People died waiting for this mid shit.
