I don't know if this is considered a "hot take" as the uncs say, I feel like it shouldn't be, but Fallout 4 is a better game than Fallout 3. Both are utter shit as RPGs however Fallout 4 is at least competent as an open world FPS crafting game. Fallout 3 fails even at that
The obsession with collecting junk and crafting hadn't taken root in mainstream vidya yet. Ironically it was new vegas that really fleshed out the system and showed players found it engaging.4 sucks as an fps too, any time I see people praising the shooting I have to wonder what flavor of crack they're smoking because it's exactly the same shit as 3.
