Speaking of Mithos/Yggrasil, what's the consensus on the Tales of series' villains?I only played Symphonia, Vesperia, Abyss and Xillia so far, and they've been pretty awful.I'm not a fan of Yggdrasil. It's kinda sad that the party member he has the most meaningful relationship is Genis. I guess Kratos too. But shouldn't he have more to do with the protagonist? He's the antagonist afterall. That being said, he's actually the best villain in the game. All of the secondary villains are terrible, namely the Desian Grand Cardinals. They suck balls, LMAO. Forcystus is probably the most memorable one, but I found it annoying how Lloyd didn't re-attempt to take his "human ranch" much earlier.Vesperia villains are even worse IMO. The episodic nature of the game makes them all kinda forgettable. People only remember bad guys like Ragou because of how Yuri dealt with him, not for the villain itself. I do think Alexei is pretty fucking cool in a way, his Mystic Arte is awesome. Story-wise, he's a mediocre villain overall, but he should've been the final boss. He's still miles ahead of the actual final boss who felt more like a DLC villain.

I don't think he has enough charisma to be the big bad. I could see him as the right hand of the true big bad, or even a God-General. But as the main villain, he's cool and all, but I didn't find him too convincing personally.

There's a few games I haven't played but I agree that Dhaos is the best. Norn is pretty good too, she's in a pretty unique position for an antagonist with her testing the heroes. Barbatos is kind of neat for being a hero-killer but his motivations (getting cucked and just being evil) are kind of laughable and he has an astounding amount of "I'll retreat without finishing the job so the plot can keep going" moments.
