Unless you're playing a sandbox game to achieve a concrete, predefined goal, creativity needs inspiration to spark discipline. "Wanting to paint" isn't enough to generate a unique experience that passive content feeds can give.

Best thing to do is dopamine detox. Take out the power cord from your router (I like to leave mine at work so I don't betray myself) and just be bored. Obviously you could touch grass, but, you know. You brain will come up with plenty of ideas if you just pull it away from hyperstimulation for 20 minutes.
