Fly through my rings Superman
Okay Luthor
Do I have to?
[LEX WINS]
[JON WINS]
>>744218982Lois seems pretty casual about the whole thing.
Lol manlet Jimmy.
>>744218982Find my eight rings
>>744218982Reminder that this game was actually going to be good but DC stepped in with insane demands and demanded it be done quicker. The later cancelled PS1 prototype actually shows some positive development.
>>744218982Look at those gams damn
Don't worry Superman, it's not ALL flying through rings, you have other mission types too. They're worse.
>>744218982This Virtual Insanity has to stop, Luthor!
Yaaaay....
>>744218982they just stand there..
>>744223897USELESSLY
It wasn't actually that hard if you learn physics fast
>>744225276How about the non-ring levels?
>>744218982Why don't they just not go in the portal? They're not even being forced.
>Only a few days after the deal was finalized, the Warner Bros. licensing team underwent a change. According to Caen's testimony, the new group immediately disliked Titus and the project, attempting to halt its development. Their first demand was to transform Superman into a Sim City-style game, where Superman would act as the mayor of Metropolis rather than being featured in an action game. Just imagine what we could have had
I can still hear his laugh
>>744218982Superman's friends; Fry, Elaine, and Dr. Freeman.
this was the first bad game I ever played and I didn't understand how a game could be bad so I just assumed I was playing it wrong.
>>744226384>Mayor Superman, a tornado is approaching Metropolis!*blows it away*>Mayor Superman, there is longstanding class disparity and low economic mobility in Metropolis!*blows it away*
>>744226384What other ideas did they have? A game where you play as Leonardo of the Ninja Turles as a football coach?

>>744227391Bro, "Touchdown Power" was RIGHT there.
>>744227391Raphael is cool, but fouls
>>744228540>Leo is all fundamentals, RAW fundamentals>Raph is the king of offense with stupid power behind his team>Donny has the most intricate formations of any team in the league>Mikey is just out there having fun (and that's what matters)Could be kino
>>744229008>>Mikey is just out there having fun (and that's what matters)Less fatigue/injury bonus on his players because he's not pushing them as hard.
>>744227207Michelangelo is a gambling dude!
>>744218982Or what?
I like that Superman 64 is just one big win for Lex.Missed a ring? Lex wins.Random civilian got stuck? Lex winsBeat the game? You didn't really rescue your friends. Lex wins.Superman ever getting a new game? Not happening. Lex wins.Lex won so hard it's unreal.
>>744226384
>>744227015that was me with Bubsy 3D
>>744218982A good Superman game is not only possible, but quite straightforward, and people just have a weird mental block about it.
>>744229961>chinese man is simpsons tier yellowtop kek
>>744218982I remember as a kid always walking by a cartridge of Superman 64 on the shelf at my local VHS rental shop and never picking it up for some reason. It's weird, because I liked Superman and the cover art was colorful. My young mind would have been eternally raped if I actually got it and played it.
>>744229961
>>744229961Got the Injustice edit of that cover?>>744231540Got the one where Jimmy is farming Superman's tears?
>>744231540You think the punchline is "Jimmy has to wed an ape, how wacky" then you get blindsided by "as local witch doctor"
Combined with letting women into positions of power, superheroes have done massive damage to our moral compass. People took a lame excuse for why the good guys dump the mass-murdering psychopaths off at the police station so that they can come back and continue terrorizing the city when the writers want to use them again and internalized that as some kind of coherent moral stance. The people who point out that the superheroes are responsible for all of the deaths that they were too cowardly and self-righteous to prevent are obviously correct.Like with 99% of criminals, the cases of supervillains have zero nuance, and in their cases, the crime obviously calls for capital punishment. Especially given that they can't seem to keep them locked up. If the courts won't get it done, then the courts have abandoned their duty and can't be trusted to carry out justice. Superman should be melting motherfuckers.
Put a ring on 'er
>>744218982Not unless I switch to easy mode and disable all the ring sections, Lex.

>>744218982>>>/vr/
>>744221236The 64 version was almost done too, they just decided to roll it back to a beta version of the game just to give DC the middle finger and make DC lose a million dollars for being cunts.
>>744232891All of the criminals are complex and nuanced and the heroes are always portrayed as narcissists. It reflects the current of how the justice system protects criminals for consequences instead of justice for the victims of crime and how the judges down bend the rules and show sympathy for the worst and villainize the people upholding the law.
>>744221236I heard the ps1 version was more polished and developed as a bamham style..

>>744231540Jimmy got up to some weird shit.
>>744218982Is this game really "worst of all time" bad or is it more like ET "worst of all time" where the actual game is just regular bad and it's mainly by reputation?
>>744218982Who's the third guy in the back supposed to be? I don't recognize him
>>744247316Flying has never been more frustrating than it is in Superman 64, and you're always on the clock, sometimes with confusing objectives. Watching videos doesn't do it justice. You have to use cheat codes in order to get a half-decent experience, and it's still not a good game.
>>744247316oh no it's abysmal dogshit, completely brokenthe ring levels are actually the closest to functional
>>744227062>Mayor Superman, there's been complaints about a homeless camp on the corner of Gotham Street and 10th Avenue>*blows it away*

>>744247316Hi. One of the very few remaining people on /v/ to have actually owned this game at time of release here. It's complete shit. There is no "hidden gem" to be found here. It sucked back then, and it sucks forever.
>>744250442>mom told you that you could have one game>you could have gotten Banjo Kazooie>or F-Zero>or Jet Force Gemini>you grabbed thisAt least I only rented it.
Super Man64
>>744231540
>>744251273Wrong. My dad bought it for himself because he's a huge Superman fan, and I did in fact grow up with Banko-Kazooie.
>>744251273I knew someone who bought the South Park game for full price, that's almost as bad.
>>744252436That's at least a functional game
>>744218982Laugh at the him all you want, few won the game
