Switch 2 will NOT get hacked, at least not in a meaningful way that would enable piracy.
This is because of the simple fact that HorizonOS present on the previous switch console has not had a full exploit chain for over 5 years now. The hardware hacks are also not probable because of the dual core lockstep that makes glitching modchips useless.
I hope this is going to be a wake up call that you will continue getting fucked as consumers because we are approaching the point at which even hackers won't enable you to take control of your hardware. You will have to pay for overpriced games.

Don't care, no games, also cope.

but /v/ told me this was a good thing because you get to own your overpriced games

If you can't hack the system itself, they'll just make a flash card that is indistinguishable from a real game card. They already did that with the Switch 1.

i honestly think switch 1 getting hacked so early is what propelled its sales.
with over 155 millions sold, nintendo majorly benefited from hackers.

he isn't talking about the ps5 though

Keep telling yourself that.

Cybersecurity specialist here
There are bugs
There will always be bugs
It'll get hacked to play full games
>>
>>744239242
Let’s be honest, the only reason it isn’t getting a hack soon is because nobody has any interest. No exclusives worth pirating, and the hardware isn’t especially powerful for emulation. For now it’s just too easy to get a hacked switch 1 if you want either of those.
>>
>>744239242
People said the same thing about ps5..

Hackers are 1000 light years ahead of you anon.

Switch 2 has not been hacked yet because it does not have any good games worth hacking it for.

honestly hacking the switch 2 will be one of the few good uses of AI

And? Videogames are hardly "overpriced" because I have a job in a first-world country.
Also the hack happened on Switch 1 because of the Tegra X1 chipset was previously used in other devices before the Switch/NX truly became a thing, and you can essentially blame pirates, gaming journalists and anti-Nintendofags as a whole for making a lot of noise on the Internet about playing the Switch games earlier than anyone. Hence why Nintendo tripled down on hardware security and scrutinizing unlicensed emulators.

Should have kept a low-profile but unfortunately we live in a era of social media where the pleb wants to feel validated and makes anything a social movement or political statement.

There are good games, not great ones however.

As someone who literally just finished setting up homebrew on my launch switch,do I really need to go through extra hoops if I had just planned to play some homebrew games/movie files onto the thing?

someone said I need an emunad for online play? but since I'm not "pirating" anything from the eshop wound't it be ok to connect online before & after hekate is active?
>>
>>744241098
And how do you expect to dump roms without a hack before? Dumbass
>>
>>744241269
I think there was a dropoff in software sales towards the end of the lifespan due to piracy. Mario wonder, jamboree and tears of the kindom all sold less than their predecessors even despite more people having nintendo hardware. Even though switch 1 was hacked early it wasn't until the last few years that emulators and piracy became very stable and trivial to use
Don't underestimate peoples willingness to pirate something, generally people won't pay for something if they don't have to. Lots of normies pirate stuff it's not just some secret underground hacker club, it's mainstream, and always has been in gaming.

What is your point? That we should be angry, upset and buy Nintendo products out of sheer desperation to play one or two games which aren't even released yet? The only thing that will convince me to buy it would be Ocarina of Time Remake (which I doubt will deliver). Even then to just buy an entire console for one game? In 2026? That might be the stupidest thing as a gamer.

Buy yourself a PC with a strong GPU. Emulate/Pirate anything you can using proper sources, never buy a game (never) unless it is Team Cherry or Owlcat or some really good developer.
>>
>>744241098
>They already did that with the Switch 1.
and it immediately triggered bans even when using games you personally own because they can detect you used it. One of the first known S2 bans was from a guy using his own personally-dumped games and that thing.

PS5 isn't hacked.

>This is because
The Switch 2 has no games.
>>
>>744246869
It is. You can even run Linux on it. The problem is that you need really low revisions of the firmware to even run the exploit to actually jailbreak it and it's one of those non-permanent CFWs that are all the rage past gen 7 because getting permanent ones is much harder.

>especially powerful for emulation
What does that even mean? We’ve been able to emulate SNES to an acceptable level on toasters for decades now. What is it you are trying to emulate?

people twisting themselves in knots trying to figure out the very simple reasons for the switch's success will never stop being funny

could it be that it's a console with a solid gimmick that appeals to normies and a library that has something for every flavor of casual player? no uh gotta be something else

So we're already at the point of rewriting history huh?

>someone said I need an emunad for online play? but since I'm not "pirating" anything from the eshop wound't it be ok to connect online before & after hekate is active?
No because all behavior is logged to the nand . Any appplication that isn't official in the logs is enough to get you banned.
>>
>>744242615
put everything problematic in the emunand unless you want to risk a ban. Some things won't get you banned but the majority of 4chan is too dumb to know what will get them banned.

I am an emulatorfag but saw a lot of people with modded switches get banned over the years over all sorts of dumb shit.

Another reminder that if you want to buy a switch2/ps5 or want to buy the hardware for a switch2/ps5 emulator be sure to buy it now

https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/msi-and-colorful-raise-nvidia-rtx-50-series-prices-in-china-by-up-to-59-percent-across-the-entire-lineup-change-in-distributer-pricing-suggests-gpu-price-hikes-are-on-the-way

Expected GPU price increase for nvidia is 30% FYI, AMD and Intel have also raised prices. The reason why the prices are so high is because RAM is only produced by 3 companies that have collectively decided to give all the companies the middle finger.

>b-but china will save RAM
CMXT is already in laptops and I'll save you the trouble, they charge the same as the RAM cartel and would rather sell to datacentres first than you.

>b-but I play on consoles
Console makers don't produce their own components. For example, the switch 2 GPU is made by NVIDIA. The console makers can negotiate for a lower price but a 30% expected raise is still an exorbitant price increase that will eventually get passed on to (YOU). The contracts they have for now might insulate them for a while, but it will come eventually. That's why, you should look to buy now.

>b-but the bubble will pop!
SpaceX has already bypassed safeguards to enter directly into your index funds, breaking the rules basically and fast tracking themselves. Other AI companies are going to do the same. If the AI bubble pops, all your retirement savings and stock will pop with it and you still won't be able to afford RAM.

Also all those AI companies are getting trillions of money from the government to build data centres in your home country. Check how many are being constructed now. The US government has even gone as far as issuing a directive to companies that they need to start using Grok now so continue to see how they will inflate numbers. Many companies have issued a directive that 100% of developer work needs to be done using AI and are directly funding the bubble

You're in the /v/ echo chamber. Pirates are a fraction of a fraction of a percent of Switch users.

>I think there was a dropoff in software sales towards the end of the lifespan due to piracy
The huge amount of Tomodachi Life sales despite the whole rom being leaked 4 days early and roms being shared all over social media shows that pirates are a fraction of a percent of customers.
