i thought koreans only made coomer gachaslop
has anybody played it? is it good?
>>
>>744239565
never mind, i just realized it's a co-op game and i have no friends.
>>
Where the fuck can I pirate Daemon Masquerade and CaseCracker? Sucks being a deduction game fan and the games are so niche that they never get cracked

heh heh, haha poor little guy calls himself a deduction fan but he doesn't got no deduction games. Do you also go to the racetrack without a racecar? make little motor noises with your mouth.

major league oof. Your list is antiquated because you're stuck in the past because you're nothing but a stupid has-been.

Confidential Killings if you're really itching to play a game like Golden Idol again. It's not nearly as good though. Pretty bad at points honestly. But it does the job I guess.
Bonus points for including Unheard in the OP pic. Awesome game.

Interesting post, anon. But that would only apply if you played more mystery games, wouldn't it?

heh, yeah same author. It's on the pic.

Don't be like this chart autist. Go forth and find new deductions games to play, they are much better when you discover them for yourself.

The Message from Deep Space
>meteorite hits earth

>you have to try and map those signals to words using only context clues and a shitty 1970s computer with some english, math and physics textbooks in it

>>744242751
Not him but while it's a pretty enjoyable walking simulator the actual mystery in it is complete ass and the clues lay things out blatantly with no deduction required.

Isn’t Heavens Vault the same concept as Chants of Senaar? Perhaps I’m misremembering.
>>
>>744239412
Recently played incident at galley house. My biggest gripe is who the fuck was Amelie? They made this big deal about forgetting the sister but it turns out there was some other completely unexplained person who was forgotten? Also, whether it was intended or I just missed clues it was way to tempting/required to just brute force. Way too many times you knew everything but one piece so just guessed the missing person / missing room until you got the scene.
>>
>>744242967
It takes so much to even get going I haven't gotten to the gameplay part after hours and hours of reading/listening.

Seance of blake manor
First half if pretty good. Second half I didn't like as much because I had way more time than needed, but I couldn't have known that so I spent forever trying to find what clues I should investigate when in reality I could have just moved the plot forward.
>>
>>744243201
too woke. dropped. it was too woke. I dropped it.
>>
>>744243228
There was a lesbian couple and a black guy who was pretty offensive. Other than the secret lesbian couple what was woke?
>>
>>744242503
YTTD will never be finished, will it
>>
>>744243228
most of the western games are woke.
>>
>>744243276
I meant inoffensive not offensive. He was some loser nobody liked
>>
>>744243276
dunno I turned it off pretty quickly so I didn't see much. that's how it works.
>>
>>744243440
ok so you're just a retard. There was nothing woke until the secret lesbian couple which was like 2/3 of the way through
>>
>>744243521
okay so you have a shitty wokeness detector, it took you 2/3 of the game until you finally saw what was clear to me from the very beginning. It's okay to be worse than me at detective games because I am VERY GOOD at detective games. an unfair competition really.
>>
>>744242269
i cant bring myself to believe someone that genuinely likes mystery solving games would rank phoenix wright games upon the top of the genre. those are glorified vns with the mystery depth of an average episode of blues clues
>>
>>744243592
Most if not all games on the list belong to the "VN with light mystery solving" genre, there's nothing like obra dinn or golden idol which is a completely different kind of game.
>>
>>744242269
>head as code this low
uh oh you're going to trigger the EVN tranny
>>
>>744243201
way too railroaded, the game does all the thinking for you
>>
>>744243945
Yeah, in the first half it feels pretty open, but as you get more clues it becomes way too obvious the solution.
>>
>>744244031
My problem was that you don't have to do any detective work since every piece of info in neatly organized the moment you get it. You can just skip through the dialog and won't miss anything.
>>

If you enjoy time travel mysteries there's no beating Sekimeiya.
>>
>>744244169
How is that different than golden idol or obra dinn or roottrees? All those are just multiple choice fill in the blank puzzles as well

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments
https://store.steampowered.com/app/241260/Sherlock_Holmes_Crimes_and_Punishments/

The game lets you do your own conclusions and won't stop you from arresting the wrong person.

Shadows of Doubt is the best detective game I've ever played.

Is this the game where the villian is jack the ripper and holmes refuses to turn him in because he doesn't want to hurt jewish people's feelings
>>
>>744244231
Seance always gives you a very limiter list of options, you don't have to guess who each person is, everyone introduces themselves full name, they tell you everything, the deduction mechanic for the kidnapper was useless.
>>
>>744244570
no
>>
>>744244628
Fair enough. As I said I thought the game fell apart in the second half. Especially the kidnapper, the "twist" was so obvious I was certain that it wasn't going to be that but then it was
>>
>>744242269
Bro like half this chart is just Ace Attorney
>>
>>744242269
999 really was a special experience. The whole setting on the ship, the characters, artstyle and of course the great story and mystery. Then the second game, while still good, was already significantly less fun, mainly because of the dogshit 3ds artstyle and dragged out story. Made me not even wanna try playing the third.

>Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright
Would love that game to get an offical pc port. The AA games have done well on steam and now that the newest Prof. Layton game comes out on pc too this might actually be thing in the future.
>>
>>744244254
it's unfinished and essentially abandoned by the dev because he got bored
>>
>>744246109
It's been finished for years. Yeah sometimes he adds new murder types or whatever, but it's already a full game.
>>
>>744242269
weeb shit
>>
>>744246256
the dev promised a lot of features in his development roadmap that never went live and he pushed the game into 1.0 prematurely despite its numerous technical bugs that just never got fixed
remember how we were supposed to be getting more narratively driven missions like dead of night? or the story chapter additions for the story mode that got scrapped entirely in favor of the sandbox? there was even supposed to be a skill system independent of the perks you can get from the sync disks
it's feature complete in that the case generation system works but i wouldn't call it a full game

I mostly loved that game for the writing, the eerie atmosphere, and the style.
The detective gameplay was fun but I'm not deep into detective games so my standards aren't that high.
