I don’t get how Baldur’s Gate 3 is the “greatest WRPG of all time”Boring railroaded plot about tentacle ayy lmaos, the only meaningful RPG decisions boil down to “kill everyone” or “save everyone”, every party member is constantly horny for you by default even though you selected no dialogue options to indicate any interest, no joinable factions, half the gameplay is spent opening crates
I think I agree with you.I'm playing BG3 for the first time right now, currently in Act 2, and I feel like the game is just bad. The whole game feels like a very expensive but empty shell. It’s as if it was made for people who have never played any other CRPGs. It focuses on completely different things; they spent so many resources on voice acting and mocap, but the gameplay itself is incredibly shallow and primitive.On top of that, there are so many Chekhov's guns that never fire, and the narrative structure is really clunky. It lacks cohesion.So, I'd say BG3 is a game for people who couldn't handle real games. But that's just my rookie opinion for now, as someone who is still playing it for the first time

Soups and spoons. High interactivity at the tactical level is what makes bg3 fun. Not the story. Consistently that's what Larian is good at and keeps getting better at. People who complain about railroading don't understand State Explosion. Honestly, id say its a triple AAA gilded egg, and in terms of that, it’s quite significant because the AAA field has been shit.
