They literally made indie Shadow of the Colossus with a somewhat cuter protagonist, it got thousands of positive reviews, and people have already moved on and nobody talks about it anymore. I can't handle the gaming news cycle these days, used to be if a game was this big of a hit people would talk about it all year and now after a month nobody cares. And that's before getting into all the good games that get sub-300 reviews so you don't even get to see anyone talking about them. It's just you, the game, and two other people.

I didn't care for it much. It feels like it was made by someone who thinks Niwr Automata was a good game. Way better indie games came out this year.
Nobody talks about it because it wasn't that good. It wasn't terrible but it's a lot better than their first game. The platforming in particular wasn't the best and that's a lot of the game. Seems like it did fine for an indie, I think you can be happy with that and stop moping that it's not GOTY because it was never going to be massively popular. SotC was a much bigger game with a much bigger budget from a proper dev studio, comparing it to that is a joke. It's an indie game, nothing more.
