Killing blow for how the story is presented is how dialogue choices for the player are effectively two broken-out parts of a single sentence, instead of having something like FGO where the branching dialogue choices are different enough that will give you a different reply from the other party at worst.If that's the best the writers can come off, at that point you're better off having your avatar character talking in 1st-person with little to no dialogue choices instead, like a bunch other gachas already do or have started doing (Arknights, Morimens, Sword of Convallaria etc)

If you get me to select between "You think what you've done is right," and "but your were dead wrong" and the outcome is the exact same, just make the MC talk in first-person and say the whole sentence on its own.
