Will the sequel story get censored?
>>
>>744250098
What was censored in the game outside of some historical shit that 95% outside of China doesn't care about?

do chink shills really?

What the fuck are these people doing? These games are already impossible to distinguish by looking at them, why are they giving them all the same name.

Wait, they aren't the same game?
They all LOOK the same.

I am so glad, the game was really good.

>>744250012
What shit's gonna get censored in Wujinping 2? Or did the devs finally realize that bowing down to the CCP only increases your social credit score, not your sales?
>>

Is this by original devs? They had balls until Han loyalists found out

>>744250901
Lying carries zero consequence in China.
In fact those that lie the most are seen as very intelligent and shrewd.
Lying to foreigners in business deals is especially smart because if they find out, you can just deny it ever happened and it's not like they can find you and punish you when everyone looks the exact same.
>>
>>744250012
Should i picked it up marked off right now? I'm always reluctant about soulsshit instead of making plain action adventure games. Or is this one of the case of where you're playing games so you undress the character? it doesn't help that a majority of the reviews giving it a mixed status were angry chinks over something that i don't give a flying fuck about personally. That being said it's actual design direction looks dime a dozen and a potential snooze fest.
>>
>>744250989
Only the outfits were "horny". Wuchang is a proper lady.
>>
>>744251324
It is genuinely good soulslike with excellent interconnected level design like classic fromsoft before they became boss factory
>>
Do you think the uncensored disk will be worth anything?
>>
>>744250012
not supporting Failurechong2 when they had to take out the "offensive" mechanics and make certain characters unkillable, chinks don't know soul when they have it and ruin it for the rest. fuck goyimslopchong games.

>>
wtf is this shizo rambling about censorship? what was censored in the first one? wasnt there a pre-order outfit where she was basically naked?
>>
>>744251791
Not censored in that way, just relating to killing historical figures and whatever else offends chinks. Bosses bow down rather than die
>>
>>744251445

>>744251932
ccp because they told the dev to change stuff
>>
>>744251932
It kinda ruins the endgame which was 3 way war between you, Han and monsters. now Han soldiers don't aggro which removes lot of the challenge
>>
>>744250171
Having characters being able to cure themselves and not die from the main fucking plot device kind of ruins the true ending
>>
At least they've probably learned their lesson now...
>>
>>744250171
Didn't they make it so certain bosses no longer die after you defeat them? Historical shit aside, that's censoring the level of violence. Reminds me of the Chinese version of PUBG, where if you'd "kill" someone, they'd just sit there and wave at you.
>>
>>744250012
Nice
>>
>>744251932
To be fair I usually wouldn't care but they made a certain character live who originally died and it completely ruins the story cause it blatantly contradicts itself. Though I can just headcanon that he actually died at least.
>>
>>744251932
Any censorship is bad censorship, or something
>>
So Wuchang's dev team disbanded but 505 games a european publisher got the creator to form a new studio and to work on a sequel. They also gave him 23 million euros
>>
>>744251854
They also changed an entire act where the soldiers aren't hostile anymore.
You can't kill peasants anymore.
>>
Cool, I loved the game.
>>
>>744252014
>>744252469
It barely changes the final act. I understand not liking the story implications of it or them kowtowing to insane people, but the soldiers are completely inconsequential to the difficulty whether they fight you or not.

i need a Soulslike to pass the time until Mortal Shell 2, is this any fun?
is it more Nioh or LoP and is the deflect/parry mechanic required?
>>

Wuchang is perfect dodge focused, parry is option for longsword
>>
>>744250012
Will they figure out how to optimize their game?

>>744252735
Every weapon type has a unique mechanic similar to a parry and they're all strong options despite the posters on here claiming otherwise. You don't technically have to use any of them in particular, but some encounters are a lot easier with certain mechanics.
>>
>>744252839
>>744252973
thanks. one last question, how hard would you say this is? i dont care to learn boss moves for 10 hours, i will use any mechanic a game has to make it as easy as possible. does this game give me options, like summoning or super powerful skills?
>>
I got filtered by the electric guy near the base camp hub mid game. I just can't do it.
>>
>>744253112
>how hard would you say this is?
It is difficult, but not unreasonably so. If you're willing to adapt and learn new playstyles on the fly it's just below average difficulty, if you're stubborn and only want to use one then it's probably one of the harder action games in recent years. There's nothing like summoning, but most bosses have a specific intended counter that you can exploit. Like Commander Honglan is intended to teach the player about a mechanic that lets you block while attacking, thus circumventing her otherwise erratic moveset and allowing you to trade blow for blow so to speak. You can also just fight her normally though.
And a bit later there's some nasty massive damage combos that can burst down the first phase of some fights, I suppose.
>>
>>744253112
consumables are pretty strong, paired with magic it makes short work of 95% of encounters. magic is pretty fucking fun here since it's not a passive playstyle like in soulsgames, you get magic 'ammo' on perfect dodges and conditionally on various weapons, eg. longsword gets some on 2nd hit of light combo, etc.
defensive options are varied depending on a weapon of your choice, you have 2 weapon slots and can weaponswap mid combo, it's perfectly viable to use 2 different weapon types so you have more options, like longsword for parry against humans and dual swords for full retard grug heavy attack spam against monsters.
there's 1 big filter boss in the early game that will force you to learn how to play, then pretty much nothing difficult until the very end, one optional hard boss
the game's difficulty mostly lies in the levels themselves like in DS1 instead of being a boss spam like later souls games, bonfire equivalents are pretty sparse, you mostly unlock shortcuts to the 'main one' for the area instead of encountering new ones
the game is pretty good, def worth it imo
>>
>>744253112
If you get stuck on boss, abuse free respec. Wuchang is built around adaptability and every boss has a weakness and different gimmicks. Biggest filter in the game is trivialized by clash and parries.
>>
>>744250098
>story
I played the game and could not tell you the overarching story, only that in the ending I got, I got stuck in a jar from the beginning and seemed like it would loop

Genuinely good news.
Wuchang was probably the best soulslikes I ever played, up there with Lies of P.
If the devs probably polish the combat ideas they had in the first game, this is gonna be really good.

Fuck yeah, thank you mommy! Just when I gave up on it. Best soulsgame that would be criminal to not perfect with a sequel.
>>
>>744256507
I still don't understand the plot point with that witch bitch.
>>
>>744256885
I don't recall the exact details, but basically she was taking advantage of civil unrest and causing more intentionally in order to get her own Chisel + the knowledge to revive her son. She was working with the Jar Man for the knowledge and the Emperor's side as well with the whole peasant uprising thing, or rather using them both I guess. That's what the whole wedding theme was about, and the explanation for the second phase of the fight (it's her son fused with all the frankensteined brides to show how the chisel is like a monkey's paw that doesn't truly revive the dead).
>>
If it's just "confirmed" now it's probably still years off. And I wonder how much it's really gonna resemble the first game, part of me is worried they're gonna tone everything down and make it less offensive, both in its horror tone and its eroticism.
>>
>>744257440
Make Wuchang go to k*rea or j*apan and have her kill everyone, 20 million sales from China alone.
>>
>>744257440
They never censored the goon outfits, it was only the Chinese figures.
So in Wuchang 2 they just go anywhere else, or make completely original characters and they're good.
>>
>>744250012
I really liked Wuchang so I'm glad this is happening.
I just hope they don't tone down the fanservice AND the gore. 'The Shaft' was probably the most horrifying location I've seen in modern video games.
>>
>>744257816
>The Shaft
that area is spooky unless you play like a bitch like I this, sniping enemies from ledges
>>
>made a good game
>all ruined by UE5slop and chicks seething
>>
>>744258027
Those things did not ruin my enjoyment of the game.
>>
>>744254089
for me it's the level design that ties everything together, it did not devolve to a boss rush like later souls titles. the areas actually matter, they are challenging, well connected for the most part, not just a corridor filled with trash to get the 'reward' in a form a boss fight

The censorship issue can be dodged by playing the patches before it happened anyway. For me it's the stuttering issue that was too much.

This is the only soulslike that actually defeated me. I could not get past honglan no matter what I did. First phase is already hard but it's impossible to live long enough during the second phase to learn the patterns and the barely visible projectiles.
>>
>>744258892
>honglan
literally just parry
>>
>>744258027
Chinks seething has no bearing on your experience of the game and is the norm, so I don't see how it'd ruin the game for the average person. UE5 might for some, but my computer can run it without issues so it's fine.
>>
>>744258974
You can parry the waves in the second phase.
>>
>>744259015
>Chinks seething has no bearing on your experience of the game
Except when it leads to censorship and bosses removed
>my computer can run it without issues so it's fine.
7800X3D and 5070ti, even running the game at 720p it was still too stuttery for me, this game has the worst Unreal stutter issue out of every UE5 games I've tried. Is it playable anyway yes but holy fuck
Some people can't see stutters but sadly I'm not one of them.
>>
the shaft and act 5 is genuinely one of the best soulslike levels in terms of atmosphere.

How long is the game? I'm tired of getting less hours out of a game than the number of dollars I spent on it. I just bought AI Limit, which I enjoyed, but finished it in less than 20 hours despite exploring and collecting everything.
>>
>>744260419
I've finished the game in 30+ hours but I'm good at souls games.
>>
>>744260419
It's quite long mostly due to the focus on exploration. I'd say your longest hours will be in act 1 and 2 but it gets shorter after that as the levels become smaller and smaller. 100%'ing it though, is another thing since there is quite a lot of obscure shit you won't find from the get go.
