How do you "get lost" in shitty competitive games with nothing in them but mechanical repetition of the same things against randos, for no change, progress or basically any experience worth having?

I was addicted to about 10 online games during all those years
My last two addictions were to Turtle Wow and Marvel Rivals, the last was shortlived.
Maybe League Classic will bring another addiction ?? I doubt it.
