Mario Galaxy 2 is Mario's peak and he'll never reach that high again. You can cope about sales and whatnot, but everyone knows Sonic's best games are just more fun, replayable, and have a way higher skill ceiling (Genesis games, SA1&2, Heroes, Advance/Rush games, SXSG, Unleashed).
