I am learning German, and I already downloaded all the Xbox 360 CoD Zombies map packs on my Xbox One so I could forwards-compatibly play them on Xbox 360, so I thought I could play them in German if I bought the whole games and - according to the attached image - I should, but it turns out in the first one I tried, WaW, I can’t. Is it because the map packs are only in English and they force an English localisation?Help me out, Brudis.
>>744441414you need to buy the specific german version of the game because it was banned in germany so it has its own localized aka censored version that you won't get simply by switching it from english to german
i asked grok but i dont know how to give you groks answer. im on my phone and i dont have another phone to take a screenshot of my phones screen so idk
>>744441528So, the Xbox Store is lying?
>>744441636The retard who put up the game's store page probably just didn't know, yeah
>>744443713Do you think Black Ops I and II will be the same?
>>744441414>learning GermanArabic is the future language of Germany
>>744444153No, but I’ll learn that too if I have time.
>>744444097Probably? There's even a separate German version on Steam, so I'd assume the Xbox version would be the same.
>>744441414If you want to learn a language, you're better off playing games with lots of text and dialogue, e.g. RPGs. That's how I taught myself English, Japanese and currently Chinese. As a German myself, I highly recomment the Gothic games. In general, I would go for games that have been created by people who speak the language you're trying to learn as translations can be iffy.
>>744441548you know you can do a screenshot of your phone screen you retard? on most phones it's volume down + power button. hold them and you do a screenshot.taking a picture of the phone screen with another phone lol. are you taking pictures of your pc screen this way too? are you 12 or 80 years old?
>>744441528basically this, most ww2 games that released in Germany were completely different so they got their own versionI am curious what happens with the Wolfenstein 2009 remake. back then they forgot to censor 1 little swastika on a poster in the hospital level so the game got outright banned from germany kek
>>744444478I’m currently playing Skyrim in German after - but not immediately after - playing it in Spanish. The ability to replay spoken dialogue is essential, and a wide array of named items is a boon. Plenty of (maybe only PAL) Xbox 360 games have audio tracks for Spanish, German, Italian, and French, such as the Bioshock series, the Gears of War series (it seems like the voice actors trained to sound like the originals in the Spanish dubs) except Gears of War 3, the Battlefield series (but Battlefield: Bad Company 1 doesn’t have subtitles), the Medal of Honour series, Wolfenstein, Resident Evil 6, Avatar (including the in-game, Mass Effect-like encyclopaedia), and maybe some or all of the Dead Space series; I don’t remember. LEGO games also are translated but the ones I have on Xbox 360 don’t have voice acting.
>>744441414I don't know about Call of Duty specifically, but a lot of other games of that era force the language based on your console region, and the Xbox One back compat fucks it up somehow.Forza Horizon 1 does it for example. My Xbox 360 and Xbox One are both in the same region and in the same language. If I boot up FH1 on my 360, it's in my national language and there is no way to change it in-game. But if I boot it up on Xbox One it's in english and there's no way to change it either in-game or anywhere on the system.
>>744446157You can change the language of the console in the settings though.
