Proof that gaming doesn't have to be fun
Get good retard
>>744532181I imagine it is funfor people with brains
the bugs stress me out too much
>>744533376you can modify their behavioror just take it on, its a video game, it wont kill you, see how far you can get with the bug menace, let your fear turn into hate as you industrialize their genocide
>>744533376To defeat the bugs, shoot at them until they die.
Rate my ship
>>744533628that's not a ship it's a tombstone
>>744533575sure, but they come constantly in waves and destroy shit. you have to constantly make turrets with ammo or build walls. i got swarmed during one of the tutorial stages and just gave up.
>>744533769blow up their nests you filtard
>>744533769this is an automation gameautomate building turrets, ammo, walls, automate resupplying turretsyour only input should be their placement and resupplying, not actually crafting them
>>744533508Dont listen to this faggot or any faggots who mirror what he says, editing the bugs out destroys the game,
>>744533994that's nice, i'd love to be able to figure the automation but i'm constantly fighting bugs and repairing shit. i like engineering games, i just don't want to be fucking stressed while figuring out the solutions. imagine you're playing a zachtronics game and every 2-3 minutes it turns into a fucking bullet hell shooter and breaks your concentration.
>>744534313Did you spawn in a desert?
>>744534313i gotta be honest anon, while peaceful biters mode would be good for you, i feel like you misunderstand what the game even isconcentration? puzzles? comparing to zachtronics out of all things? have you actually played factorio?
>>744534608i'm in like the third tutorial, idk.>>744534764it's a factory game, bro. the fun is in the building and re-building so it's more efficient, not shooting at bullshit enemies that are added for flavor. satisfactory is way better in this regard, there's creatures that attack you occasionally but they don't constantly come in swarms and they don't damage shit, so you can just chill and think about your factory.it's probably more chill when you know what to do and don't have to think about it, but when you're first starting out it's just a gay distraction. the fact that you can turn them off means i'm not the only one that finds them annoying to the actual core gameplay.
>>744535257Then play satisfactory, problem solved.
>>744535257Just start on easy mode, jesus.
>>744534313Just scrape together some ammo and shoot their nests. There's also a box of grenades south of the spawn point.
>>744535257I have 3,000 hours of Factorio and I have never played without peaceful mode on.Not just Easy, Peaceful where the bugs don't attack unless you deliberately go start shit.I just like building. The only reason I don't outright disable the bugs is that after 200 hours of a single run you want to wind down a bit, and using your army of remote controlled spidertrons is amusing.
>>744533769If you check the map, there's an overlay that shows your pollution. Bugs only make raiding parties if their nests are absorbing pollution. You should be proactive about destroying nests that enter your cloud. Grenades can also annihilate raiding parties up until medium biters start showing up. Biters really only punish you if you are overbuilding in the early game. You don't need very much at the start. A full belt of iron, half a belt of copper, and half a belt of steel can carry you all the way through chemical science give or take the occasional inline furnace. It's ugly and your base won't really scale up beyond a steady trickle of construction bots if you full spaghetti your base; but once you are at chemical science, flamethrower turrets trivialize everything on Nauvis. Then with construction bots and flamethrower turrets, you can actually focus on something significantly more scalable (if you are boring and gay, or you can continue being a spaghettichad.)
>>744535257>i'm in like the third tutorialThe tutorials are bullshit where they constantly spawn enemy waves, the actual game isn't like that at all. In freeplay the bugs only attack when you pollute their nests, so the bugs scale with your production. If your factory stops, the bugs stop, so they're more of a limiter on your expansion rather than an existential threat.
>>744535257>>744538175this desupeople have wildly varying opinions of bugs because1) people with >5 hours in this game have already forgotten that the tutorial exists and is NOT representative of the actual fucking game at all, it has scripted and overtuned bug attacks completely unlike freeplay2) enemy difficulty only really matters in the early game and it's EXTREMELY rng-dependant, it can be nightmarish for a new player if you spawn in a desert and you can just not see a single enemy until blue science if you spawn in a forestin 5 more hours of play you will have forgotten both of these, too
>>744533994>your only input should be their placement and resupplying, not actually crafting themTRVTHthere's actually an achievement for beating the game while handcrafting less than 111 items.
>>744533628F for not using more thrusters despite having beacons.
i got my very first legendary item today
