If you still watch any cape shit that isn't Watchmen or Kickass then you are a faggot
>>744537126>Kickass
>>744537097Wrong one.It's this:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Qeul2MepEwk&pp=ygUUamFjayBibGFjayBzcGlkZXJtYW4%3D

>>744537126I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye
>>744536885Mechanical makes it easier to explain how sometimes it is long strands, or blobs that engulf a person's torso, or just plain old nets. Not to mention capacity. You can more plausibly refill mechanical shooters from cartridges. How many 100 foot plus strands of webbing can reasonably be contained in someone's wrists?
>>744536885
>>744537247everyone was thinking it in the new Spider-Man movieit was framed like he was going through pubertyshooting hot web loads
>>744537126DC has multiple animated movies that are kino like like Batman Under the Red Hood and Superman Vs The Elite
>>744537165Do NOT diss Kickass...
>>744536885Spider-Man should have organic web, but it should come out of ass.
>>744537402more than can be stored in a few tiny cartridges for sure.
>>744537616I do tend to like DC animated more, but they've been adding more woke shit lately and it's soiling the product
>>744537126>Watching WatchmenFaggot.
>>744537126>Watchmen or KickassOnly thing worse that capeshitters is edgelord capeshitters.
>>744537126>UNC is unironically talking about kickass in the big '26:skull: :skull: :wiltedrose:
>>744537402Mechanical is stupid, the only reason for its existence is so they could go "oh no, I'm out of web fluid!" every 5 minutes as an excuse for why spidey couldn't do something.
>>744537634Only the first volume was good than it became exactly what it was trying to subvert just like everything mark miller writes. Hes a hack fraud and you deserved to be raped for shit taste. Kys
>>744536885Artifical spider webbing is one of the holy grails of materials engineering. It's structural strength relative to its weight and how flexible its applications would be are insane. There is no fucking reason for a broke ass college kid to magic together the shit and regularly produce it in a campus lab without anyone else finding out, and keeping the creation to himself for crimefighting is the dumbest waste of its potential. It's one of the changes that the Raimi movies got right, fuck the comics when it comes to bullshit web canisters. Even the plot convenience of the webs running out allows for better writing by tying it to Peter's health and disposition, instead of just "oops I packed x amount instead of y tonight" contrivance.
>>744537126I only read euro-capeshit,they even have a fancy french name they call them by so i can feel extra cultured and smug when i tell others.
OP wanted to whine about sucking with a mouse while everyone knows Spiderman 2 is the best spiderman movie and game.
>>744537693there's a reason the ones anon mentioned are 15+ years old, DCAU became unwatchable
>>744537126You are no longer relevant and/or the target audience
>>744538217I don't understand the cattle.
>>744537126>Tying Watchmen as a intellectual work
>>744537957It's the same as in a lot of superhero comics, Peter is simply a genius and figured it out. Sure Batman has a lot more resources but he's still pulling stuff out of his ass constantly.
i enjoyed the new movie, what does /v/ think of it?
>>744537126You don't get to act high and mighty while still watching capeshit
can we all agree that the hybrid approach is the best? meaning that spider-man DOES produce webs but he uses a mechanical web shooter to help him control it?
>>744538252"Superhero fatigue" only existed because the movies were getting lame and there was too much crap to follow (in particular all the shows). Brand New Day finds the right middle ground between being standalone and being tied to the Marvel universe. You can get into it without worrying about watching every previous MCU movie, but it still makes you excited for the future of the MCU. Plus it's fucking Spider-Man, everyone loves him and even the worst Spider-Man movies are still fairly enjoyable. In terms of corporate products it's brilliantly crafted honestly, not shocking it's making so much money. If this had somehow flopped it would have killed superhero films entirely because it checks all the right boxes.
When I was a kid, I remember reading one of the comics where it was mechanical. I was so disappointed. Augmented by tech just isnt cool. Also, its like everyone can be spiderman now. Why not give Captain America a web shooter? Why not hawkeye? Its fucking gay.
I never liked the web shooting device even if i know it's what canon. I'm simply not buying that peter managed to build them on their own in just some minutes and on top of it, not inventing something that'd make him not permanently broke. I much prefer the slits
Organic webshooters are disgusting and they would require Peter to have bloated popeye forearms.
>>744538337But batman's whole thing is not having powers and using his other resources to compensate, to be superhuman while still human. Being a rich billionaire in charge of a massivec ompany with R&D departments is part of his story. Peter already has powers, and an important part of his character is he's a broke ass nigger (taken literally because Marvel sucks). You can reason that not only is all of batman's cool shit from his company, but that his company also finds wider uses for the technology for society in general. Peter invents one of the greatest fucking things you could possibly invent, he's not able to ever make enough of it for even himself, and he never allows others to benefit from it. And again he is fucking impoverished and is sneakily making it in university labs or in his apartment. It is CLEARLY not that difficult or expensive to make. It's all fucking stupid. Biologicaly webs are just better, and it's not like Peter can't still be smart.
>>744538529I don't understand it because nu-Spidey is soulless, when it stopped being Tobey and Raimi I just stopped giving a shit.
>>744537126Don't forget Logan, you chud.
>>744537986So what do the french call them? Just by?
>>744537986I am still mad and sad that it was basically cancelled along with "Masqué". It got a series adaptation on Canal+ but it was garbage: actors can't play for shit, they mumble and don't know how to articulate their lines, and, worst offender, theydiffer way too much from the comics and don't even have Taillefer and pégase, only Djibouti.Waste of potential, but that's French series for you.
>>744537032That shit has stuck with me for over a decade
>>744538617Or just some kind of delivery system to his wrists and some weird web producing organ in his chest. You could have a cool bit where he gets shot in it and squirts web everywhere that also seals up the hole but then he can't shot web for a month.
>>744538478yes
I like the mechanical and the organic webs
>organic web shooters are unrealistic>in a universe where there's mutants who shoot lasers out of their eyes, black people who don't steal, and a magic Jew who can manipulate metal but doesn't steal gold
They gave Spidey organic webbing because>Raimi trilogy nostalgia pandering>makes Spidey as low-tech as possible (exact opposite of "Iron Boy" from the Watts trilogy) - likely a deliberate MCU-wide move away from high tech designs in favor of grittier heroes (e.g. Hulk getting big and angry again)>makes Spidey more powerful (alongside his added strength and agility from the extra spider DNA) so he can stand toe-to-toe with bigger Avengers-level threats>allows for Spidey to keep using webs during Secret Wars where he's stuck on another planet, without any extra contrivances
>>744538217>It's ANOTHER movie about Jean Grey where she's fucking insufferable and does tons of evil shit but everybody feels bad for her and gives her a passAfter watching Jean telepathically use and abuse people for two hours, using them as long-range meatshields and even throwing several of them off of buildings, even making a random construction worker walk into traffic and get pasted, the movie honest to fuck expects you to feel bad for her because she was wooking fow hewr sistew ;_;
>>744538768Le merde de cap
>>744538617>bloated popeye forearmsRetard doesn't know how dense spider webbing is. It is easily compacted, it weighs nothing. It's not like the meme web canisters are huge. Space inside your forearms between the radius and ulna is much larger.
>>744536885>bitten by a radioactive spider>get super strength>get super speed and agility>can climb any surface>gain a literal 6th sense to alert you of any danger>dont get any web related ability despite being one of your most crucial tools and spider related abilities>uuuuhhhhh just have the impoverished 16 year old kid design state of the art web technology, that makes senseLee was a hack.
>>744538685Peter still has access to hi-tech labs, that's often the excuse.I do like organic webs but the artificial webs are the same shit as a lot of stuff in comics. Every other hero has "genius level intelligence" and can come up with whatever bullshit they want, and the comics typically ignore the societal implications of whatever tech heroes come up with.
>>744537957Sure, it being a mechanical device isn't believable, but him shooting web everywhere without having to eat 5000 eggs to metabolize the energy and materials to produce that shit every time before he goes out makes perfect sense!
now that readcomicsonline and RCO station are down, what site are you guys using to read comics? batcave kinda sucks
>>744538217>the total box office gross of 1% of blockbusters but in a single weekendwe've created a monster
>>744539036This, why the fuck he would have all these powers but organic webs is far too much?
>>744539145>without having to eat 5000 eggs to metabolize the energy and materials to produce that shit every timeI don't know why people think it'd be something intensive to produce. If it's magic bullshit that condenses in air to expand massively in volume, the compounds don't have to be that extreme.
>>744537126>kickass
>>744539160Reading comics is for fags
>>744539036>>uuuuhhhhh just have the impoverished 16 year old kid design state of the art web technology, that makes senseHe had to show that Peter was smart somehow
>>744539246true, so what site are you using to read comics now?
>>744539145That's the whole FUCKING BENEFIT of spider webbing. It does all of that cool shit, it takes on so much weight, it stretches so far, but it weighs so little and can be compressed into a tiny space for storage. Marvel NYC isn't drowning in spider butt string because there isn't actually that much of it. You are a room temperature retard who cannot follow conversations or grasp the basics of materials engineering.
>>744539145We're talking about a kid getting spider powers from a bio engineered spider. Either way he gets web powers is science fiction bullshit, might as well have him get all his powers from the spider genes for consistency's sake. Seems weird for him to get 90% of his powers from the bite but not this one crucial power.
>>744539265I downloaded all my Dredd comics from getcomics.
>>744537616For me, it is the absolute cheesy movie that is Superman Batman Public Enemies.
>>744537451Psylocke is very skilled at web slinging
>>744539036its all contrived as shitthere is nothing more or less believable about him manifesting a fucking spider organ somewhere in his body that uses a prostate like piston muscle to jettison out the fucking spider silk>>dont get any web related ability despite being one of your most crucial tools and spider related abilitiesspiders use webs to trap prey, spiderman is diametrically opposed to spiders and what their webs are for because he is virtually ALWAYS approaching people vs luring them inspiders were a retarded bug to pick for him and only work because he gets super speed and sticks to wallsthe argument for or against a web prostate is categorically stupid, he is super intelligent and has super powers, he can do both without it being weird. organic spiderman could reverse engineer the compound and donate it to the scientific community, cannister spiderman could biologically implant armslit cannisters that use his blood to automagically create moreneither are objectively correct or incorrect its fucking fiction they are both right
>>744537616>>744539382I was always mad that the DC animated movies for the suicide squad were always so much better than the live action ones. Better plots, more characterization and development, half the runtime, like 2% of the budget. Nobody gives a shit about them because they aren't live action.
I wish Tom Holland would shoot his spider-cum on me and trap me in his web
>>744538725
>>744536885If Spider Man cant produce web organically what exactly makes him a "spider" man?
>>744539529He can control spiders, duh
>>744539467Yeah the flashpoint animation is much better than the movie too
>>744539020I can't tell if you're memeing or not
>>744537402i've come back around from mechanical web shooters and realized organic is far superior.spidey is explicitly NOT a self-made hero, he got his superpowers served to him on a silver platter and a part of his struggle is coping with that.peter parker and spider-man are supposed two psychologically different personas, spidey wears a mask and he can be loud and confident which everyday peter parker can't.the main source of peter's struggles are him grappling with these two conflicting yet highly demanding lifestyles. mechanical web shooters conflict with peter's character on a fundamental level. his intelligence/science skills should never be something that makes his crimefighting easier for him.
>>744538725I grew up with the Raimi trilogy but I still enjoy MCU Spider-Man for the most part. I think I still prefer Spider-Man 2 but Brand New Day was good.
>>744539529He's strong, you know, like a spider
>>744538725I thought the scene in the first movie where Peter curbstomps the niggers who killed his uncle was in poor taste
>>744537402What if it was like cum and has to recharge. May be certain supplements and drugs can increase it, but generally you're fucked for a little while after each usage.
>>744539145>Why does the Hulk keep his pants but not his shirt when he transform
>>744539427Jumping spiders use their string to balance and guide themselves, and many kinds of baby spiders do the same thing to be picked up and scattered by wind. Having them be biological is just better.
do you think it feels good to shoot organic webs?
>>744537126>stop liking what I don't like
>>744537451Ngh~
>>744539846Would me kino if it was excruciatingly painful
>>744539820trueHulk's big uncut green cock should be swinging around at all times
>>744539820>How does She-Hulk's shirt stay on although she gets bustier?
>>744539529Well he has psychic powers like a spider, super strength like a spider, and he can walk on walls which is famously spider-only.
>>744539912>Hulk raping Black Widow.gif
>>744539901Marvel already plays that bit with wolverine.
>>744536885if your spiderman cant do anything a spiderman does, he is in fact, not spiderman
>>744539529beside the on the noseness of the spider bite, in the original lore he made himself spider-man and the webshooters were meant to emphasize that and show off his genius. It's a shame that they dropped a lot of his spiderbased gadgets
>>744538725I liked TASM. Both of them.
It should be something like he makes organic web but can't shoot it 90 meters without a slinger. Maybe he spins webs into canisters to power grenades or other gadgets, but mainly he spins webs into the slingers in order to propel them.
Organic webbing wasn't a thing for thirty years. When it did get introduced, it was in a 2099 spin-off, with a completely different character. It took Sam Raimi and his movies to tie this concept to Peter Parker, about forty years after the character's conception.Sam Raimi was right and forty years of comics (excluding PAD, who wrote the 2099 spin-off) were wrong.>>744539618good post. I've come to dislike genius crime fighters in general because at that point you should just be a fucking scientist or CEO, not someone who beats up crooks in alleyways. The only type of character who can justifiably be a genius crime fighter is someone like Batman, i.e. a mentally ill psycho who uses crime fighting as therapy. Heroes should be stupid to slightly above average level of intelligence, and if they are smarter than that, they should be batshit insane (no pun intended) to compensate.
>>744540028Dangerous.
>>744540184I didn't like them at the time but retroactively yeah they're better than MCU spiderman
Which way, superhero man?
>Jean kills tons of people and basically mind rapes others>BUT ITS OK, HER SISTER, POOR JEANI am so fucking tired of this trope.
>>744540486yes
>>744540486Zendaya wonned.
>>744537402I like the mechanical for your first argument, second one is stupid because then anyone could be spiderman
>>744537032It's so funny how the Raimi movies are still the gold standard, nobody can defeat Tobey. People are gonna be quoting those movies for 50 more years while the other spideys are forgotten.
>>744540589She's like an uglier browner version of a woman I'm not interested in at all.
>>744540513Mind rape being seen as a none issue is a huge oversight in all X-Men storiesProf X can put hundreds of innocent civilians into a state of awake unconsciousness to flex his powers and nobody will consider that a bad thing. Likewise prof X, Jean and Emma are constantly reading other peoples thoughts uninvited and they're just fine with it. Even if I was on the X-Men's side I would want one of those Magneto helmets for myself
>>744539145>Spider needs to eat to create web>Spider needs web to capture food to eat
>>744537126>I'm too good for capeshit! Gimme that Capeshit (Alternative)!
>>744540589looks mid and can't act why is she in every other movie?
>>744537189>>744537097>can just outright see her nipples through her shirtDamn, i miss good television
>>744540647One of the better things about the Raimi's movies was that it was just about Spider-man. I hate modern Marvel movies because there always has to be a cameo or a cross-over or setting up something or reliance on you watching a completely different superhero film.I'm watching a Spider-man film because I want to see fucking Spider-man and not him getting bailed out by Ironman.
>>744536885I like the logic that he can shoot webs organically, but they're basically one type of shot and the mechanical attachment enables him to do blobs, webs etc
>>744540732The reason nobody cares about it after is because there is no "after." They never stop using their powers, probably at a subconscious level, to keep people a certain level of "ok" with having a brain raper around.
