Quadruple back down on AA development. Fuck the shareholders, they can leave if they don't like it. PS1 and PS2 were remarkable consoles for their sheer variety, bring that Playstation back.

If everyone has a Playstation, and they suddenly decide they hate pay to play online, they'll blame the nearest person, which is the company who made their console. I've always seen Playstations as little PCs, and that means they're not allowed to be worse in any way. If they are, I'll just use the PC instead. I've been PC and Phone gaming ever since the PS4 stopped being a thing.

The debacle with the 500+ movies just being deleted from Sony platforms put on full display the transience of digital right when Sony wanted to make the announcement, plus it's come to light that other branches of Sony are still solidly engaged in physical media distribution, and on the side there was Microsoft's Xbox blackout a little while ago where it was making the rounds that even physical games weren't playable, to say nothing of all the echoes of their mistakes with Xbox One and Sony's counterstrategies at the time coming back to light. However much truth or lie there is to any of this, pretty much any major PR nightmare and counterpoint to this already seismic shift that was bound to be unpopular from the start has already happened. Sony's already trucking ahead with a Sisyphean struggle here and so much ammo has been unexpectedly leveraged against them. Even their end of fiscal year shareholder Q&A has been used against them, it's honestly insane how stacked the odds are against Sony right now.
