Its a solid game with a good story and different gameplay compared to its contemporaries. Of every MH clones Sony tried to salvage the Vita with it was the best one.
Which makes it all the more tragic its probably not leaving Vita jail.

The combat isn't all that exceptional. It's not bad, and there are some interesting ideas behind it and your character build/loadouts, but there are some significant issues holding it back. However, the presentation is absolutely amazing, the setting is interesting, and the story is really good.

So-so monster hunting game carried by its exceptional presentation, worldbuilding and storytelling.

The combat is fun enough to carry through the game. Of course there's some overstatement because this was among the better games on the system but it's cool.

Play Delta instead of the original though.
