I'm stuck in TR-49. The image for "Literary Review" won't get filled in even though I've found everything relating to it as far as I can tell. I found all 50 sources and matched them to their titles, and I'm pretty sure I have Beatrice's password, but I want to 100% the journal before ending it.
Why did we decide that these types of game had to have the ugliest characters in existence?

I think you will like Daemon Masquerade since your issues with Galley House don't apply. My only issue with it is that the game doesn't let you choose the wrong answer, with one exception when the game intends to mislead you.

I finished Galley House just yesteday, what a timely thread.It's a pretty good game but it's a tad too easy. Every character pretty much says "Hello my name is ____ and I came from ___ and went to ____". The focus on establishing a timeline rather than just identifying the characters is pretty good however. >>744545180Most of those games just have simple portraits since the focus is on the puzzles so they skimp on the art. That said despite being pretty stylized I really enjoy the designs in Golden Idol.

I did think it was weird that there was nothing really stopping you from skipping to day 7 and solving everything at once but I suppose that would've made it overwhelming.

Now that I've beaten TR-49 the next deduction game on my list is "The Silence of Blake Manor".But I'm not sure if I want to play it because I did the beginning the other day and I really didn't enjoy the time mechanic limiting how many things you can investigate. I think very few games have used time mechanics in a way that doesn't feel like shit (like Outer Wilds). Should I just skip this game?
Columbo doesn't deduce. He instantly "knows" and just keeps pushing until he gets the confession. We see the criminal committing his crime of course, but someone innocent would be subjected to the same treatment - gaslighting, tampering with evidence, flimsy gotcha setups, you name it.
