Anyone has experience with pic related? Is it good and worth the price for an Analogue super NT to play the more expensive SNES library games?
>$230I got a SNES mini for less than that and modded it.
>>744551316depends on whether you'd rather play on the original hardware or an emulator/FPGAif you want zero input latency, literally can't beat original hardware with a CRT
>>744551316I got a chink one from aliexpress. It doesn't work with my modded snes (it runs fine for about 10-15 mins then it crashes). If you get one that works yeah it's excellent. The analogue gear is a fucking scam. It's so overpriced.
>>744553110>literally can't beat original hardware with a CRTRetroarch has less input lag than hardware.
>>744554075i'm not sure if you're aware how the snes graphics and crts workretroarch is just runahead to emulate less input lag
>>744551316So you already have an Analogue Super NT and want to get the cart for that or are you choosing between getting a cart for your SNES and getting an Analogue? If the former, no, just jailbreak it.https://github.com/analoguejb/Analogue-Super-Nt-JB>>744553110An FPGA implementation and original hardware would be exactly the same for latency if connected directly to a CRT. Real hardware and a flashcart is probably cheaper than FPGA rn though.>>744554075Run-ahead is a glitchy bandaid.
>>744551316if you have a fucking analogue just "jailbreak" that to load roms from the SD card slot, you don't need a flashcart.IDK if I'd say it's actually worth it, but I have an SD2SNES (the name they used before the people who own the copyright for SD cards came after them) and it's great, the only difference between mine and the newer ones is MSU-1 compatibility with games that use the SA-1 chip.
>>744551316It's great for an original SNES, but pointless for anything else.
>>744554253thing is the analogue doesn't have a composite video output, it only outputs hdmi
>>744552547The SNES Classic is that good??
>>744554253Was the former, thanks bro
>>744554552The Analogue (ironically) isn't the best for analog output but you can at least get RGB through some DAC IIRC.Most regular MiSTer DE10-Nano sandwich setups have the capability to output RGBHV through the analog IO board. The Superstation One (based on MiSTer FPGA) is probably the best FPGA solution if you need composite.
>>744554750It's a low-tier ARM device with okay software emulation that looks a SNES, convenient when hacked but nothing special
