Aside from Spyro, playing as an actual dragon is pretty rare in video games. You're usually either playing as an anthro, or a human with dragon abilities.

>need to make completely new template from scratch and redo all gaits instead of just lazily reusing 2-legged humanoid skeleton
>can't rip off suckers for virtual clothes
Dragons only work for platformers.
