>gets captured by goblins despite being able to turn into a literal bear and being surrounded by mercs
>doesn't help you save the grove outside of telling off the former first druid (women shouldn't be first druids to begin with, that was never in the Tree Father's mandate for nature, another massive L for Halsin)
>doesn't help you in the underdark
>doesn't help you in the mountain pass
>doesn't help you defend last light inn from the cultist attack, the same place where the only lead to Thaniel's whereabouts is in sick bed
>doesn't help you in Shar's Temple
>eats all your food
>takes all your supplies
>save Thaniel
>finally, FINALLY he decides "wow these guys I've been traveling with for god knows how long have been so hospital, maybe i should do literally anything more useful than mope and talk about nature's balance"
>"hey Halsin why weren't you helping before?"
>"I wanted to fix the shadow curse."
>"But we could've used your help in the underdark an-"
>"THE SHADOW CURSE, I COULDN'T STOP IT, NATURE WILL BE RESTORED UH I CAN'T HEAR YOU."

unbelievable.

He's right. OP has doxed himself a bunch on 4chan.
>>
>>744555784
Russia sucks.

None of the party members in that game make any sense, Gale is written like a 20th level (minimum) wizard, Astarion is a vampire so at least level 8, Lae'zel and Karlach have extensive backstories battling in the astral plane and in the blood war respectively, Jaheira should be level 30+ and I don't think there are any other party members.
>>
>>744559605
There's Wyll but he made a pact with a devil only to somehow still be the worst member of the entire crew because he gets like half a spell slot every 6 levels.
>>
>>744560298
Wyll's problem is being a Warlock in a game balanced around being able to long rest between every single encounter without cost. 5e warlocks get their spells back on short rests, so they're meant to have much better sustain on adventures than wizards or sorcerers, and warlocks are kind of the jack-of-all-trades caster in that they can be customized to be ranged, melee, or utility. None of that really matters in BG3 because Larian retooled the system to be way more combat-focused and gives unlimited long rests, so normal warlocks end up being pretty shit in BG3.
>>
>>744559605
Gale was a high level wizard and even though he lost his power he still acts like one cause he knows he'll get back there eventually.
>>
>>744555104
When I first played this I was pissed with how late you actually were able to recruit him. I got him basically the same time as jaheira so I benched the faggot or at least I would have if I didn't have the mod to have unlimited party size

So what you're telling me is that
>their perfect record of bungling ttg systems that were already pretty bad
yet stands?
>>
>>744559605
>Gale is written like a 20th level (minimum) wizard
He WAS a level 20 wizard that was fucking the goddess of magic. He LOST everything because he tried to usurp godhood from his goddess waifu
>Astarion is a vampire so at least level 8
Being a vampire doesn't magically give you 8 levels of power
>Lae'zel and Karlach have extensive backstories battling in the astral plane and in the blood war respectively
The tadpole nerfed them. They spell this out in the story, neither of them is in their prime
>Jaheira should be level 30+
...yeah. I think the excuse is that they're using the book canon where the og cast is much less powerful lorewise
>>
I just came back to the game after beating it at launch, playing Dark Urge for this playthrough. So far I expected to face more situations where I wouldn't able to not do something bad, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm a draconic sorcerer. I'm on honor mode also, just got to level 3.
>>
>>744555784
This one was on /vrpg/ long before BG3 was released. Some schizo got mad because WotR had non-stop pre-release threads, and started spamming and bumping BG3 threads.
I miss the time when /vrpg/ wasn't so dead.

>Being a vampire doesn't magically give you 8 levels of power
you fucking what m8
browsing /v/ almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
>>
>>744563132
I'm correct
https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Vampire
The average vampire encounter in 5e is CR13. However in every previous edition (1e, 2e, 3e, and 4e) there is no set level for a vampire. A vampire is simply a living undead person, and you can definitely be a level 1 or even level 0 (yes NPCs can be level 0) vampire
>>
>>744562509
>He LOST everything because he tried to usurp godhood from his goddess waifu
Honestly doesn't make any fucking sense how he's THAT weak considering a good chunk of wizardry is just your knowledge and experience on the subject
>...yeah. I think the excuse is that they're using the book canon where the og cast is much less powerful lorewise
Technically there's been a few worldwide major events that just depowered everyone, like twice.
Which still doesn't matter considering Jaheira was extremely strong back then AND never stopped being active.
>>
>>744563994
>Honestly doesn't make any fucking sense how he's THAT weak considering a good chunk of wizardry is just your knowledge and experience on the subject
He lost all of his spell books, was stripped of all his arcane power by a literal god, and he has a curse that forces him to eat a magical object every 3 days or he'll blow up, which means that he can't keep on to any op magical artifacts he would've acquired.
>Which still doesn't matter considering Jaheira was extremely strong back then AND never stopped being active.
Book Jaheira is much weaker than the one we see in BG2
>>
>>744559605
>Astarion is a vampire so at least level 8
Isn't he technically a vampire spawn? I mean that's not much better since he'd be level 5 in that case but still
>>
>>744563819
get a cancer screening anon, because I believe you.
>>
Bump
>>
>>744562509
Astarion has been alive for like 180 years and you're telling me he gains more power in the span of a few months than all that time? I know Cazador was intentionally keeping him bound and weak but like come on
>>
>>744559605
Lae'zel hasn't been to the astral plane before the events of the game, she hasn't even brought back the head of an illithid yet
>>
>>744566771
Considering all he did was act as a honey trap and eat rats...
>>
>>744563006
There's barely any of that, barely any situations where you even have to pass a check to resist the urge. A Durge run in which you resist it and play nice is just a regular Tav run with more plot importance.
