>built a new PC
>has worked perfectly for a month
>suddenly have intense anxiety wondering if I plugged in the SSD right because I couldn't figure out the angle it was supposed to go in at first and thought I was going to break it
how do I stop being mentally ill
>>
Do you know if you didn't perfectly insert your RAM in the motherboard slots there's like a 5-10% chance it will suddenly die?

ocd here i feel you
>>
Angle? Sata is literally fool proof, a monkey could get it right

I don't trust myself to build a PC so I just bought the parts on Newegg/Amazon and dropped it off at the Geek Squad to assemble it.

how the fuck do I cope with this debilitating mental torture
it's dominated my life for its entirety and it saps my will to do basically anything
>>

the manual doesn't tell you shit, it said to use a screw/locking mechanism that doesn't fucking exist
asking AI was unironically more helpful and accurate

You don't know paranoia until you nigger rig a screw and a piece of rubber band.
>>
I'm pretty sure mine is bowed because of some pre installed foam pad on the motherboard that I didn't bother to remove, it bothered me for like a month but I stopped giving a shit. Works fine for 4 years so far.

My SSD (main drive) has been hanging from the cable in my case for the past decade and it's still doing fine.

Water-cooling will forever be the biggest fucking meme in PC building
>Why yes, I'd love to introduce water directly into the internals of my PC for no tangible benefit whatsoever!

You are a retard. He at least is smart enough to understand where his shortcomings are. KYS

Threads like these is why I feel no shame asking for a company to build PCs for me. Imagine treating this shit as if you were building legos for fun when you spent more than $5000 on it.
>just experiment with a 5090 bro
No thanks. You'd understand why your time is valuable if you ever had money.

and i have both
>>
>>744571419
you can actually "turn down" or "turn up" tinnitus by focusing
>>
for me its worrying my old hag psu (13) will die spectacularly and take everything with it
>>
>>744571419
I have had tinnitus as long as I can remeber and i ignore it most if the day.

PC wouldn’t boot if stuff wasn’t plugged in right.
Not sure there is a way to fight anxiety. Slow breathing and light exercises seems to work for me.
>>
>>744566359
Anon, if the PC boots it means it's plugged in correctly. The only case where plugging in the cable wrong might affect you are god forsaken 12pin connectors on new nvidia cards.
