I just don't understand why consoles even exist. The most powerful console is always inferior to a cheap PC in every way. It's always been that way. Console versions are always stripped-down versions. Consoles are always a compromise.Who likes this? Who pays for this?

I know it’s pathetic, but a car guy would laugh at someone who doesn’t want to change an engine part. Then there’s things like space and pricey peripherals, playing at a desk. Nothing beats them for couch gaming.Thats it.Even if you are autistic enough to put a tower in your living room with an HDMI cable you will run into countless small hiccups. God help you if you want to play with HDR.
They used to be nice. Cheaper and easier than a beefy 'puter, more portable and you just turned it on and put in the game and bam, it just works.Personally once you started having a "dashboard" OS and patch downloads they lost a lot of the appeal for ME anyway.
