What's hilarious is they rejected an offer to be bought out by Tencent a few years back because they required Guillemot to step down, apparently he failed to realize that the entire reason Ubisoft is tanking is because of his leadership.
>>
Shit out yet another safe and boring assassins creed game, that'll do it surely.

Maybe when they die some more of their ex-staff can get togethet and make something actually good, like the actual pirate game sequel to AC4 that both Ubisoft and Microsoft failed to make on two separate occasions.
>>
>>744570370
>Fix
Kill it and sell all their IPs. I just want a competent studio to grab Prince of Persia and make a Sands of Time trilogy non-shit PC version. EA or Microsoft can grab Ass Creed if they want. Give Rayman to Capcom or Sega
>>
>>744570370
It can't be fixed and I enjoy that they keep becoming a bigger and bigger burden on the French economy. Hopefully it becomes the first studio to be forced to close by government order.

That's it.
>>
>>744570370
I would hire immigrants to wipe out my devs. If they didn't want this to happen they shouldn't have supported laws that allow workers to hold employers hostage. Hopefully the smarter ones who I like will take the hint before it's too late for them. After that I just take advantage of my IPs with my reasonably sized dev studio.
>>
Make good games instead of shit games.
>>
>>744570370
Reboot Assasin's Creed from scratch.
Rehire the original director and give him a hard limit of three games (+DLCs) to tell his story and ban him from making it about the sun exploding.
>>
>>744570802
>Maybe when they die some more of their ex-staff can get togethet
Ridiculous nonsense. The people who made the original Black Fag haven't worked there for a decade and could have made this make-believe game years ago, but they didn't and the vibe coding jeets and dangerhairs of current Ubishit certainly won't, and can't. Look at the fucking "remaster", they had the whole game, it was already made for them and STILL they ruined it.

Because you either commit to it and the third game takes place during the apocalypse and the fall of civilization and it's a brawl between the assasins and the templars for who gets take the reigns on humanity or you use an alien magic device that stops it. This is the definitive end. I'm not sure they knew for sure what they were going for with it but magic bullshit orb is probably what we would have got and I am entirely uninterested in it.

fire all the white devs and quadruple down on india
>>
Fire everyone that has touched Assassin's Creed.
Fire anyone that has attended university.

Use photogrammetry of a city including as many interriors as possible. Pay anyone that lets photographers into their place a percentage of the profits and if they look good ask if they'd like to be scanned and ascociated with the place.

Only use good voices, essentially no voice actors except for unusually good ones such as Michael Ironside, Claudia Black and whover voiced Fran, Balthier and most of the FFXII cast.

Put Reflections (Driver dev) in charge of driving.

Get back as much of red storm/tom clancy as possible. Invole them in setting up swat etc for a city.

You play random scenarios in which you rescue others. You stop shrinks from stifling lives. Eg there is a prisoner transport, an ambulance something. You witness something that isn't right and you do everything you can to save them. Cops or security holding someone down etc. Especially women. Anything, by anyone, gangs, groids, whatever, witness something wrong and you do your part.

As you succeed you are put in more dangerous scenarios. Like stopping swat storm someone's home or wherever someone is making some stand. Could be swat in the middle of something sinister, rest going along, you not.

A good escape part of shooting the fuck out of the bad guys.

Call it "No good deed goes unpunished".

You're it. You're all the hope someone has. Everyone else will go along with the problem. If you do nothing wrong wins.

Essentially no end, just gets harder and harder. But see some humanity as a reward. Actual or immagination.

A lot of endings, like you can't do any more. Fatigued, wounded. The govt etc enemy tries to break you, make you give up. Stopped while trying is sometimes token. Just drawing a line. Not endorsing something and suffering for it.

Sometimes the severety of what you face will be scenic. Like it was meant to be. How you are defined as different. Something they can't see.

Remove the entire management, close all existing devs and replace them with Japanese.
I guess with obligations in the realm of billions and practically nothing to show for it, it's probably best to wind the whole shit down.

>>
>>744573203
You're not trying, so why should I?
in regards to AC1's modern day being leaked, was it only those heavily online users, or did the vast audience know before release?
It was almost entirely confined to the heavily online crowd. The vast majority of the mainstream gaming audience had absolutely no idea the twist was coming.
To understand why the secret stayed relatively contained, you have to look at how different the internet and gaming culture were in 2006 and 2007 compared to today:
The 2007 Internet Ecosystem: Today, a massive leak or spoiler gets picked up by algorithms and pushed onto your Twitter, TikTok, or YouTube homepage whether you follow gaming news or not. In 2007, Twitter had barely launched, YouTube was in its infancy, and Reddit was a niche platform. If you didn't actively browse dedicated forums (like NeoGAF or GameFAQs) or read gaming websites (like IGN or Gamespot) daily, you simply wouldn't see the leaks.
Kristen Bell's Interview Was Buried: When Kristen Bell accidentally revealed the sci-fi plot in her late 2006 IGN interview, it was in a text-based Q&A. It didn't become a viral video clip. Hardcore fans caught it and debated it relentlessly on forums, but it never broke through to the casual consumer.
Ubisoft's Ironclad Marketing: The average gamer got their information from television commercials, magazine covers (like Game Informer), and browsing the shelves at GameStop. Ubisoft ensured that 100% of the game's massive marketing budget was dedicated exclusively to the Crusades. Every poster, cinematic trailer, and box art focused purely on AltaĂŻr and historical assassinations.
Because the "leak" never reached mainstream visibility, the illusion held perfectly for the general public. When millions of people popped the disc into their Xbox 360 or PS3, they fully expected a purely historical game, making the transition into the Animus one of the most effective and memorable surprises of that console generation.
>>
>>744573203
I forgot AC2's was the always online one. Thought it was the Spore one.
I'm pretty sure always online DRM became popular quickly around that time or right after though.
>>
>>744573384
AC2's got cracked ~6 months after release, Ubisoft got butthurt and complaints were numerous so AC:B had no DRM at all, you only missed out on DLC and MP.

>>
>>744570370
Have 2 AssC franchises run in parallel and DON'T make them share mechanics/animations. With stealth series you just continue from Unity and keep it fast paced, with RPG series you scale down to Origins size and polish the game up instead of making a 200 hour long game with the quality of a free gacha. You bring back Juno as the villain because if you could resurrect her once, you can do it again. People need closure on that storyline. And you make digital Desmond in the Animus the next meta protagonist, and instead of IRL bits you play him in those digital bits which Shadows already did anyway for no reason that anyone could explain. And then you give closure to his storyline too, and pass the torch properly to the next meta story.
>>

You can't at this point in time. It would be like assuming command of the Titanic 60 seconds before hitting the iceberg.

What's interesting is to compare the trajectory of Ubisoft with Capcom
>both companies are sitting on a treasure trove of beloved IPs
>both companies have cashcows they can release and milk annually
>both companies have in house engines and tools that allow them outputting games self-sufficiently
>both companies are national darlings that give them privileged access to new talent
>both companies have achieved too big to fail status
>both companies are also complacent and like to recycle the same games over and over again with an audience that eats it up
But where Ubisoft diverges from Capcom is that Capcom gives people what they want, especially when the company was struggling, you can complain about demakes but the truth is that gamers want full remakes from the ground up, Capcom are also smart enough to realize that sex and coomer skins sell and that they can't go full pozzwoke if they want people to still play their games. Another thing is that despite some duds Capcom never mistreats their IPs to the point of completely killing people's interest in them. On the other side you have Ubisoft downright antagonizing the players and doubling down on specifically not giving them what they want because "can't let chuds win" or something.

For AC specifically:
>Fire anyone involved in approving Yasuke as a playable character and not making Taka the MC of Shadows.
>Fire anyone involved in making Kassandra canon.
>Fire anyone involved in making Eivor a woman.
>Fire anyone who thought Hexe should have actual magic systems at all.
>Get this mindset of needing country-sized maps out the window immediately. It does not improve any of the nuAC games and bloats them to hell for little to no reason. Returning back to cities is by far the best way to work about this.
>Immediately greenlight Jazz Age Junkies.
>All the Chronicles games get retconned and retell their stories in a much longer format with a proper AC game. There is no reason why Shao Jun, Arbaaz, and Nikolai shouldn't have proper games.
>Get Jade out of abandonware-hell and simply release it on consoles and call it a day. The work is already done, at this point just stop holding onto it.

For everything else:
>Immediately work with Nintendo on more OC crossover games even if they don't sell amazingly well and price the budgets accordingly to an expectation of 500k copies at best. There is no reason why there shouldn't be more Mario + Rabbids games or something in that same spirit as long as they rein in expectations that they misplaced in Sparks of Hope.
>Make a sequel to Steep since that did well and have a reasonable expectation for the budget in the A or AA range instead of going AAA. Riders Republic was feature creep and the multiplayer integration was a bad call.
>Continue to support For Honor, R6, and The Division.
>Scuttle Skull & Bones, that game is clearly running on fumes.
>Cancel BG&E2, it's just a money pit at this point.
>Proper sequels to Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia like what people expect of them, not Blacklist or The Lost Crown.
>Rayman gets a renewed focus as their "Mario". More Legends/Origins-esque games and bring back the 3D games which are alternated between, but the same scope as their original games.

I was very annoyed by conviction, it almost played like a fucking uncharted, changing the diff didn't do nothing. not sure what was the reasoning with blacklist to hide such great game under the highest difficulty most people didn't even bother to try, those who did know that it was perfectly balanced and fun stealth experience.

Please forgive me, I got mixed up between Conviction and Blacklist. Conviction was the one I was thinking of that people hated for exactly what you were talking about, Blacklist was the one I remember people being indifferent about but still not liking.

I mean pay Mohammad 100 euros to kill an artist because it's too expensive to fire them in france. It'd be cheaper for them to have their studios wiped out IRL than legally getting rid of them and that's how I'd do it.

no such thing exists in EU.

Ubi's biggest problem is the amount of employees they have they can't easily get rid of. Remember how Microsoft had to pause the firing of the Arkane studio in France? If I had to fix ubisoft like OP wanted I would take the easier path and have them killed.
>>
>>744575432
I think they started figuring this out with Blackflag but it's probably too late now. having good leadership is important. they have all the creative talent in the word but people on top making decisions are the worst scumbags imaginable who would rather sink the whole ship for a few DEI shekels from mister Fink. Guillaume Broche was working at Ubisoft for a while and ended up leaving and making Expedition 33. Ubisoft would never allow a project like this to be made.
>>
>>744570370
Maybe just maybe make a good game
>>
>>744582538
while it's true that in EU you can't fire employees if they're actively respecting their part of the contract (i.e. actually working), they can still be reassigned to other tasks.
In addition to that, France has some law that allows companies to lay off employers if they have to downsize due to budget constrictions or other things:
https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/codes/id/LEGIARTI000006901015/2026-04-23

I'm more than willing to assume the biggest fuckups were made by the higher ups growing complacent with their supposed "infinite money" to realize they could very well go bankrupt, up to the point to make absolute retarded decision like putting a fucking nigger as the MC of their last-resort-AC, and doubling down for an entire year, despite the writings being on every fucking wall that people absolutely did not want that.

People begged for an AC in japan.
It was an easy money, but no Ubisoft needed to troon out the game with st floyd the samurai warrior.

Fire all the women, browns, executives and close the random worthless brown translation "studios"
Now with your workforce cut down from 15 0000 useless eaters to 500 actual workers you can focus on making 2-3 legitimate games simultaneously.

Okay new idea for an assasins creed game.

I feel like they have already used all the big locations / time periods people care about for AC games.
>>
>>744593743
One appeal of AC is that it doesn't always focus on major periods of time but more niche or lesser known ones so it's not like that's even necessary. Project Legacy also covered a lot of events that could easily be made into games if they wanted, not to mention Chronicles with Shao Jun, Arbaaz, and Nikolai, the comic with Nikolai, and then the novels with people like Arbaaz.

There's also no reason why we can't do Assassin's Creed: The Movie: The Game even if it's years past its time because Aguilar's entire story could easily be done even if it was standalone without Cal. They could even had Cal be the Modern Day protagonist with postumous OMAR COMIN' YO and Shao Jun's descendant. Have Cal give a handwave explanation that William or Basim need him to sync some data from Aguilar again and boom, there you go.

It's honestly baffling that they didn't even consider playing as japanese guy in Japan, like it was insufficient diversity points. Asscreed was already suffering from extreme ubisoft formula fatigue from the checklist watchtower gameplay, it didn't need any controversy or friction.
