>game is good>game looks good>game feels good>game is not a remake/remaster/nth in the seriesyes yes however>game is a gachawhat the fuck is this shit, what the hell happened to the devs and industry as a whole
>>744572359Why do you care if its a gacha Play the game if you like it or dont play if you dont
>>744572405Because gacha is predatory by default and also GaaS which also sucks. You don't get the whole product from the get-go so you essentially can't finish it and move on.I can't recommend it to my friends or family with clear conscience even if it has all other values of a good game.
>>744572405>this is the way """"gamers"""" like this one defend this tragedyIt's genuinely blackpilling. It's so over. May as well fucking kill me and save on saying shit that gives strong second hand embarrassment.
>>744572359>is actually a below average game in vacuum >balance forever hindered by creating artificial friction for f2p and incentives for whaling >all characters designed to sell instead of being interesting in their own right >ridiculous character bloat for the same reason>any story potential is smothered under the rushed patch cycle and constant rewrites >permanent risk of eos>no hope for a satisfying ending because it will be milked for as long as it's sufficiently profitableGacha is simply not a business model to deliver good games.
>>744572884The cycle of>please be excited for our new characters while we ditch the old characters and never make any new content for themis a thing that I'm the most pissed off about
>>744572516The games aren’t predatory, that’s the catch. None of these games lock their singleplayer story content behind paywalls because they want the online discourse. They’re expensive, but not predatory, just like card games. Plus OP, you’re missing out on Wuthering Waves, one of the best JRPGs right now. Trust me, you’ll get into it and at a certain point go “oh shit”, then it hits.

>>744572359name one?
>>744572359I hate the wings on that thing, what an eyesore
>>744573954joke's on you, pic relatedAlso regarding wuwa itself the game does have a lot of skippable stuff and the story is so long and requires zero monetary investment which makes it feel like something I could recommend, so called endgame is pure 'tism and/or pay2win depending on your budget. But otherwise it's a really good experience.
>>744572359i'll always be mad that genshin is a gacha game made for braindead mobilefags rather than a properly fleshed out action RPG with plotlines that are allowed to be more complex than a children's storybook.
>>744574280even if it wasn't a gacha, it will always be a PG12 game since the game at its core is designed to pander to the nintendo audience of children and manchildren. Otherwise stick to FGO if you want your orgies and rape.
>>744574340even then i dont care if its stuck with a PG12 age rating. im just mad that its stuck as a gacha when it could be so much more.
>>744574490Because you're comparing it to a single player game, when everyone who has been playing these online games for decades know that gacha is just the natural progression of korean anime games of the late 2000s/early 2010s like elsword, dragons nest, soul chaser, etc. As well as chinese anime mobile games of the mid 2010s, with the adoption of full 3d being effectively pioneered by mihoyo with honkai impact 3 when every other anime game back then was a 2d sidescroller. Gachas have never and never competed or forked from the single player games, since many of the devs for these games have never worked on a console game either.
