>>744575463sorry i closed the thread after typing that but what i dislike the most is really nitpicky things as how open windows is handled. i have 2 monitors and i usually put stuff half screen by dragging the windows to the edge of the screen. in windows 10 when u dragged a window to the edge of a screen it sort of collided so u had to drag it again to pull it over to the other screen which made it really nice to make half screens. this feature is completely removed in windows 10 and instead it pulls up a big gray box to show and u need to aim it precise to make it happen. also it malfunctions if u drag the screen with the pointer too far to either side when u pull it. the task bar is also shit but you can fix it with 3rd party plugins but i havent found a fix for the first issue. folders and the overall rounded look is also ugly as shit but i guess its fixable. righclicking stuff everything is in wrong order also and many things renamed for no apparent reason

Sort of reminds me of when video games started creating corridors, elevators and ladders in place of loading screens but unlike them Windows would let you out the elevator before it loaded the ground.

So at work, real example, I administer many of the systems on ancient windows xp computers. Why? No dependencies. I run them as terminals and nobody can stop me doing that, they're air gapped.Of the 99 computers and devices on the network, only one is productive. That's the xp terminal. Despite the monetary cost, power, capacity of the 99 user computers not a single one produces jack shit. So here's the issue. If they could force me to use win-11 for the one terminal, they could force me to pay infinite rent on the 99 user computers. You know, the commercial liscence to use MS word enterprise which costs as much as a car every year.So the XP saves us $65,000 a year, and from their perspective, a $100 PC is costing them $65,000 a year. Companies which were in competition produce valuable hardware, systems, resources, compete on value. Companies which have monopolies charge rent, compete based on access, produce ransomware.
