Was it any good?
>>
It was ok. Not my favorite entry but it was enjoyable.

I played it recently with VR mod on Quest 3 and yes. Its fucking great. Good old shooter without bullshit. Also it translates amazing into VR because of the slower pacing, flashlight and overall graphics which don't feel outdated that much when playing in VR.
Also since i am 40 years old i don't like new 2016+ dooms. They are too fast paced for me.

Lmao fuck no

retarded og DooM fans hated it on release because
>muh action with 10000 monsters on the screen is gone
but in reality it was a great puzzle/horror game.
It's miles better than the literal modern Doom slop we have today

It's decent. Good benchmark for the time and great atmosphere. Gameplay isn't very good (weak sound design on guns too) and the game really drags on with the jump scares losing any impact after a while.
