I have an RTX 4060M and an RTX 5080. The last time I tried Linux, it didn't work out for me, and some games didn't perform as they should. I only use Linux (Mint) on an old mini PC in the living room and my Steam Deck(Steam os), which are my two best Linux experiences so far. When I upgrade my laptop and desktop PC to go full AMD, I'll switch

Saw a copy dialog (to a remote access software install location). Thankfully I just unplugged the thing, turned it off, made a backup, moved to Linux and didn't looked back. I do tech support, this month I saw a PC with the latest version of W11 erase all files (user folder) and installed software by a an infected USB stick (not hide, delete), also saw two SSD killed by Windows updates last year.. If it works for you good, but make backups of you date and use 2FA for everything.
