I've had the Switch 2 since launch. Nintendo EPD's only major games so far are Mario Kart World, Bananza, and Splatoon Raiders. Each feels like a weaker, derivative and bloated boring version of what came before. The next big thing is an American-made (?) OoT remake after an American-made Star Fox 64 remake. Starting to think Nintendo really died with Iwata, till around half the Switch more or less that he planned before dying. Not financially, but reatively, though, the company changed long before most people noticed.

I don't care about playing MP slop on a controller so Splatoon Raiders will propbably be the first Splatoon game I will play

Nintendo and Sony lost everything good about them after losing their last CEOs. It's no coincidence.

I don't care about Splatoon's multiplayer either. I never have. That said, I've been a huge fan of the single-player campaigns in Splatoon 1, 2, Octoexpansion, and 3 (except for the DLC), because they have Mario Galaxy-level platforming, satisfying gunplay, and Zelda-style bosses. That said, I couldn't have been more disappointed with Splatoon Raiders as the first standalone single-player game. Which I already expected, since the marketing made it look like a glorified Salmon Run, but even then... everything about it was a letdown. Mario Kart World is painfully boring to me compared to MK8DX. Bananza didn't live up to my expectations either, and those were very high considering it came from the Odyssey team. It's sad, I don't know, just went back to play Splatoon 1 again on my Wii U.

Wii U failure was on Iwata. Never forget contrarian necro shill
>>

So your problem with Raiders is that it’s not more like the previous Splatoon single player campaigns? How would that not be derivative?
>>
>>744576023
Another idiot who equates commercial success with having soul. I already said in the OP that Nintendo isn't doing badly financially. I bet you're one of those people who claimed they didn't buy a Wii U because its library wasn't good, yet suddenly think it's amazing when the Switch is basically built on the Wii U's catalog.

No, don't get me wrong, I absolutely want something different, but I also want it to be good. Raiders' level design is practically nonexistent. It's repetitive ad nauseam, and the few stages that try to resemble more plataforming and puzzle are far simpler and nowhere near as well designed. The soundtrack sounds like a cat screeching. Splatoon's music has always been excellent, even when it's intentionally weird, but this time it just doesn't work for me.

And despite all that, Splatoon Raiders is still far too derivative of Salmon Run. I really wanted to like it, like World or Bananza, but just can't with this new game philosophy.

CEOs don't actually do any work, stop glazing them

>OH BUT IWATA ACTUALLLY PROGRAMMED POKAYMAN ONCE!!

fuck off already

>single-player campaigns in Splatoon 1, 2
I wasn't aware those existed. I thought it was MP only like OW or R6S

>No, don't get me wrong, I absolutely want something different, but I also want it to be good.
Have you ever considered that a game can be great and also just not for you? Because I disagree with every single thing you said about Raiders. The only way I could conceivably believe half of the shit you said was if you stick to one tank all game, don’t experiment with gadgets at all, basically trap yourself in a dominant strategy death spiral. The game tries to encourage you not to at any turn.

Iwata was a man that enjoyed video games first unlike these shareholder cocksucking faggots.
>>
>>744577291
Those "shareholders" are just retarded, greedy jews who don't understand a goddamn thing about gaming, can they just be fucking abolished already, like Constantine abolished the Praetorian guard?
>>
>>744577845
Nintendo does regular share buybacks and makes their shareholders real mad, as illustrated by their share prices.
>>
>>744575413
Stop blaming Nintendo for the fact you don't enjoy videogames anymore as an adult. All those games you mentioned are better than your nostalgia goggles will ever allow you to see. Find another hobby instead of becoming a contrarian faggot and spamming your retardation.
>>
>>744577902
Yeah, but that Jew puppet Furukawa is still in fuckin' charge. The man needs to get fuckin' dragged out and arrested and put in prison.
>>
>>744578132
I have no affection for Furukawa either.
>>
>>744578501
I wish he would be hauled out in cuffs because nobody likes the man.
>>
>>744578553
Maybe the tanking stock prices will be used as justification to can him.
>>
>>744578707
Holy fuck, yes, I hope this ends up being true too. Accountants and business majors make shitty CEOs for companies like Nintendo. Nintendo needs the opposite of that for a CEO like what Iwata was, a man who despised the retarded faggot shareholders and did everything against them. It's time for Nintendo to make the shareholders giga-seethe and storm off while coping and malding along the way to the exit door. Shareholders delenda est.
>>
Didn't Iwata fix Gamefreak's spaghetti code ans made it possible that they could also include Kanto in their Johto games?
