aa games are mostly dead, the incredible vast majority of aaa games are complete and utter dogshit, so indies are mainly what I care about these days. there's still tons of dogshit and low effort clones to wade through, but because there are more of them made you'll actually find fun and interesting games

Indies are fucking great but you have to look for games that suit your tastes. Sadly this tiny amount of effort is impossible for the majority of /v/ posters so they write off the whole indie scene as shit.

And this leads to the fans slowly steering the dev to take more agreeable lefty positions to keep the praise coming. Eventually the dev realizes that going full fag means their fans on discord will heap more praise onto them so they start putting gay shit in the game.

It's embarrassing how many of them still copy the pixel graphic trend. It was a novelty in the 00s when newer developers would have grown up with and been directly inspired by 8/16 bit games. Now it just feels lazy.
