Rumor is that it will be $1,500. Will you buy it?
there's some cosmic entity that really doesn't want humanity to have VR.What a cursed technology
>>744581692DROP THE FUCKING STANDALONE BULLSHIT
Not at that price. If the oculus can be $600 still, they can figure that shit out.
>>744581692Zuck won
>>744581692no
>>744581692At that price absolutely not.
>>744581893a big part of that could just be scale of manufacturing, excess unsold stock. they've been making those for years.
>>7445816921500 is way too muchthe chip isnt even that powerful nor are the lcd panels impressivei'd splurge 1200 for the frame with 2tb storage, that's it
>>744581692according to insider mcvicker
>>744582719is he reputable?
>>744581692LOL
>>744581692Not surprising if true, as valve had the brilliant idea to put 16 gigs of ram in a devise 99% of people will be using only with their big gaming rig
>>744581893>If the oculus can be $600 still, they can figure that shit out.Meta is over a trillion dollar valued company and they can afford to shit out products or fund shit even if it didn't work out. Same with Valve but they're obviously have a way lower threshold to withstand burning money and can't buy RAM for years like other companies.
>>744581692Only? Sounds fair.
>>744581692even at $800 its overpriced, quest 3 mogs it at half the priceYou are paying for valve to research VR hardware. You are paying meta to use VR hardware that they already spent hundreds of billions on doing the research already.Cant wait until the quest 4, the frame is already using outdated hardware just like the machine.
>>744582910This is the thing with valve harware, they always do it to implement some bullshit that is half baked that no one will ever use and it drives the cost up significantly and it usually breaks a year later.
>>744581692this is why humanity will never advance enough.because kikes can“t stop placing absurd prices on stuff that should be accessible for technology to advance.>>744581793for some reasons this is why kikes are not in full control yet.
>>744581692>Will you buy it?No. I don't really see any added value from VR for the type of games I usually play.Realistically, I'd use it for nothing else but trying to find more stimulating ways to consume porn, and 1500 bucks is a bit too much for that.
At that price you would have to be insane to buy it. You can buy a SLAM micro OLED with eye tracking for that. The Frame isn't much better than the Quest 3. Eye tracking and a newer gen chip set. Not worth double the price of the Quest 3, yet alone more!
>>744581692Yeah, I want to finally get into VR and not with Zuckerfuck. I've made so much money off AI all these price increases are nothing to me. Use AI to offset AI.
I wonder how much the new lightweight Meta VR glasses with all the guts inside the puck will be, then.
>>744581893Meta lost more money on metaverse and AI than Valve is worth.
>>744581692the only reason to buy any of this tech is because you think it might go up in value, like my coworker who is wealthpilled that he bought some random pokemon lego in the hopes the price goes up and he can flog it, probably much to my other lego collector colleagues dismay.
>>744582831not anymore, as I understand, him leaking Half Life Alyx stuff and leaking a bunch of secret in-dev info about it caused him to burn his last bridge to Valve.
I'll reserve it, and if the streaming handles competitive play latency-wise I'll get it. Q3 would be nicer hardware, but I don't want to support such closed software.
>>744581692I will shill out up to 1k for this.If it's more I will opt out for a more premium display
51 minutes left
>>744588696I worked at JP Morgan when they were investing billions in the Metaverse. After that flopped, Jamie Dimon suddenly became ravenously anti work-from-home.
>>744591891Until you suck off your dad again?
>>744591998no, this time I'm sucking off YOUR dad
>>744581692I was considering it, but I think ultimately I'll wait for more Linux development of wired chinksets. It would be nice if they could just give up on putting together their own special snowflake shit when they could just open source their software.>>744581793Yes, it even bares its face and christens itself Android, an entity that is merely human shaped but not ensouled and fully piloted by the Devil's will. Literally the most retarded tech thing to happen in the 21st century.>>744581834This, holy fuck. It was neat as an idea before the hardware shortages and price increases of memory, storage and the ARM chips themselves, but it's just untenable now.>>744581893Oculus is only slowly adjusting its price to meet the rising component costs and is sponsored by ads, data harvesting and vendor lock-in.
>>744583006Yeah, Valve can't afford to sell their products for cheap. Gaben's yacht fleet was totally purchased with thin air and absolutely not with Valve's massive earnings. They are a small indie company, that's why they need to sell their products so expensively. Also, let's not forget the RAM shortages!! Bruh, the RAM PRICE HIKES... the DAMN RAM PRICE HIKES... HURRRRRRR. Kinda weird that RAM shortages seem to only affect Valve.Also...>Meta: Generates roughly $1.9 million in revenue per employee, balancing high revenue against a massive global workforce and soaring data center/AI building costs.>Valve: Achieves an astonishing efficiency of nearly $50 million in revenue per employee with a lean staff numbering around 350 people.Meta has over 70 000 employees. They have created over 70 000 jobs and built data centers and allowed average people to advertise on their platform to generate revenue. They have even created an entire marketplace eco-system that rivals Ebay and allows people to sell/acquire stuff easily.Your leader has 350 employees and uses all the company's revenue to buy luxurious crap over and over and over and over again. His games are trash. His platform is trash. He provides ZERO value. His hardware is trash and way too expensive. Btw, Zuckerberg was spotted driving a Honda Fit. Your cult leader has a yacht fleet and keeps buying multi-million dollar mansions even though a single yacht is technically considered a home/residence.
9 minutes bros...
>>744581692I was sold on it before, but I tried using my Oculus recently and just came away feeling like I'm just not wanting to deal with it. Everything I'm interested in these days is a VR mod, not a full game, and getting that shit to work is finnicky as fuck. I was trying to get the Mechwarrior 5 mod to work and it just wouldn't, then after I while I found people having the same issue and tried to troubleshoot it, no success. I don't really want to deal with all of that.
1500 MINIUMUM. Why wouldn't I just get the Meta Quest
>>744594040Some people really hate Meta. For them the price may be worth it, but they still gotta ask why not micro-oled at that price?
>>744581692LOL.I won't even buy it for $500.
uhm bros...maybe not today
>>744591971Wouldn't they save on costs on work from home?
IT'S UP
IT'S DOWN
>>744594108>dislike a brand>so he pays $1100+++ more for different spyware
>>744594040Because the Quest doesn't have the Steam logo on it?
>$1999 BASE MODELOHNONONONONON AHAHAHHAAHHAA
STEAM FRAME JUST FLEW OVER MY KEKSHED
>>744581692it's going to sell out in seconds because they're going to make 20 of them and it'll be yet another Valve collectable
Gabe just rang my doorbell and yelled slurs at me
More like Steam Lame LOL
>>744594040Had a Facebook vr account with my og vive to revive. Because I missed a certain timeframe to send zuckt my butthole pictures, blood sample and social security number in a time where I didn't use my pc much they deleted my account and all my games.Meta will never eher get another penny from me.
>>744595257....so you're making a steam account to do the exact same thing for them instead
>>744595974The Steam headset is running Linux as opposed to Poodroid and unlike Faceberg you don't need to register a business to unlock developer mode lmao.Steam is a storefront and publisher, not a data harvesting company.
>>744595974>instead of using the account that dien't kill your games for over the decade make another meta one because there you know they will just delete your shit if they abitrarily decide they don't have enough personal info Wat?
>>744597031The moment gabe dies or is found raping children on his yacht, steam will get sold to (((investors))) who will sell every piece of data on your profile that steam has harvested over the last 20 years.
>>744581834Yeah, I only need the wireless capabilities and eye tracking. I don't need anything else. I definitely don't need ddr5 ram.
>>744593643>Btw, Zuckerberg was spotted driving a Honda Fit.You're glazing a little too hard there. I can drive 30 minutes and go see Zuck's yacht parked in the nearby port.
>>744598819But I currently play gog games with steam vr
>>744600659>Zuckerberg isn't the only CEO with the $1 salary: Tesla's Elon Musk, Yelp chief Jeremy Stoppelman and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have also made just $1 per year at their respective companies. Former Apple executive Steve Jobs also requested a mere $1 salary during his tenure at the iPhone maker and before his death in 2011.He paid for that yacht with his own money. He has a salary of $1. His earnings come from his stocks in the company. The very same stocks you and I are allowed to buy. Meanwhile, your Lord and Savior pockets every single penny for himself and himself alone.
>$1500 console>$1000 handheld>$1500 headset>$100 controllerI was planning on spending $2500 for all 4 this year. Instead I will be buying none of them.>pc streaming with moonlight - free>ayn thor/odin 3 - $400>i'll wait for something else - free>gamesaar and 8bitdo got me covered - $50Only missing out on some VR stuff but my old vive has been and will continue to collect dust for a reasonable price.
>>744601987so what you're saying is he avoids taxation on his income by keeping it all in his stocksthat's so admirable of him
>>744602387Those fucks sent me the email for the controller while I was on vacation with a 3 day time limit to confirm the order. Needless to say I was back home on day 4 so no controller. And if the frame is over 1k I will just wait for new pico
>>744600857>with steam vrIs a live service that constantly breaks from shitty updates and can be disabled at any time.
>>744601987Not quite. If he cashed out his stonks, then he'd have to pay taxes on those earnings. Instead people like this take out loans with the stonks as collateral or whatever.
