I played through the game with tactical but after maxing the other two I’m not sure what it excels at. None of the gadgets really stand out or provide big damage multipliers except the fan’s suction/ferment/damage deduction, and if you build for it the floating. Turret, line, balloon, and tether all feel outclassed.

I really dislike the post-game progression. They took everything that made the main game fun and threw it away in favor of a time sink and an artificial sense of accomplishment when the RNG rolls right. I've almost finished the super spicy levels and I'm around level 70 of the bottomless buffet and I've only gotten one weapon that would be worthwhile to put resources into, which is too drastic of a change compared to the game encouraging weapon swaps every few levels. Post game would be better if they just kept going with the main game progression style and raised the weapon drop cap up to an appropriate level for replaying the game on super spicy and getting to floor 100. Save the grinding and time wasters until after floor 100.
Do enemies even get stronger after floor 100? I went to around floor 250 to finish getting the relics but I didn't notice any difference in difficulty by that point.

Ok, I have a problem. My main was one of those long ranger weapons like Squelcher. Got a 5 star Splattershot Jr and have been pumping that one up to 50+39 and NOW a 5 star Squelcher finally drops. Is it even worth scrapping the Splattershot? I think I'll get like 150,000+ crystals. Splattershot damage right now is 8341 but the Squelcher at level 50 is already 7000.
