I've gotten into ST and ai in general because of these threads last month. Honestly? I've only spent like $3 using deepseek v4 flash, and I've spent $100+ for worse experiences. I mostly use it for writing self-insert fanfics into games and anime I like. Makes me realize just how little I would actually follow the plot of like 99% of games and movies. So much of what the MCs do are retarded risky behavior. I've even begun making my own lorebooks and narrator cards for games that don't have any on botbooru or chub.I feel like I've barely scratched the surface and yet I'm already having a blast. No clue why this shit isn't more popular.
Every now and then i find a card that clicks, but most of them are slop. Chatting with the default bots and scenarios bundled with kobold always seemed to work better.

I've been seeing it posted every now and again, and to my understanding it lets you tweak an existing AI model and then run it locally? Don't you need a powerful PC with a fuckload of RAM for that? Does it come with image generation features?I've been using commercially available character AI online for cooming purposes for a little over half a year now, but I've noticed their censorship guidelines have gotten stupidly strict and every other prompt gets flagged now, so I've wanted to get into other options with hopefully less censorship.
