Ranni more or less thinks the current system is fucked up and wants to remove those powers from the world so people live normal mortal lives without gods and magic powers. Because the game makes it pretty clear that these god powers are inherited, that they don't stay with any one person permanently, and that whoever inherits them ends up remaking the world in their image, for good or ill. That's why its better to yeet them into space.

The base game went into it with the bound spirits, the crucible knights, and even the eochaid weapons having an orange color. Even the flowers and butterflies follow a color theory system. I'd say it is something almost subliminal for the most part though, the devs have shown they are fine with the playerbase not getting the worldbuilding even though it is right there in front of you.
