I'm just playing this now for the first time, in the second town. Please tell me I can expand my inventory, over half of it is taken up by my equipped items and things the game won't let me drop. I'm really loving it other than the fucking inventory.

I tried Earthbound a couple of years ago, enjoyed it quite a bit, specially the OST and enemy design, but dropped it on the town after the big city with the alternate world and the desert, I think the next thing to do was getting in a boat and there we're some hints about fighting some big sea creatureDo you guys think I could hop back in and NOT be completely lost or should I just restart the whole thingHow long into the game was I?
