I recently got bored of a few JRPGs (Final Fantasy 12 and 6, Dragon Quest 11) and it made me realise the entire genre has aged badly and that Persona/Megaten games are popular in large part due to their superior design, not just uwu nonsense.

JRPGs generally require either skill (in some cases, like The World Ends With You) or dungeon crawling (i.e. resource management, like in Persona). Shin Megami Tensei V had exploration as its hook, along with fusion. Those games I gave up on required absolutely nothing at all.

Honestly feels bad, because that is a large range of potential future games that I know I'll no longer enjoy.

DQ and FF12 are the worst slop out there.

But if you get "bored" of masterpieces like FF6 and 7 (originals), then that's all on you.

>it made me realise the entire genre has aged badly
Or you have just become a literal ADHD action-fag that does not enjoy grinding, making kickass builds, and story-driven games.

No shit, Sherlock. Way to out yourself as a secondary meme parroter.
