>like 40k as a setting>like CRPGs>cant get into Rogue TraderWhat makes it so boring?
Maybe you just dont like the slower pace to its gameplay and are used to high speed flashy gameplay. To put it somewhat bluntly, perhaps you have burnt out dopamine receptors from playing too much fortnite and now you have no patience, you zoomer.
It's for yapping enthusiasts (me)
>>744598293are u adhd zoomer? game has decent text to speech mod with natural voices it really helps if its hard for you to focus and read the text in silence.
I usually play wizards in my CRPG and Psykers are one of the most boring versions of Wizards ive ever seen in an RPG.Also most classes play exactly the same, the only difference is how much range your attack has
>>744598293Too many words to say anything. I usually just read the responses I can give and go with the vibes. They can't write for shit. Too much tell and don't show, it's a visual novel with bad writers. The game is still ok though, but I'm burned out in act 2
>>744598293turn based instead of rtwp
Nu 40k fans sure are touchy huh?
>>744598293Rogue trader is a case of premature ejaculation. Its turbo front heavy, the first 2 acts of the game are great, the remaining acts fucking SUCK.
>>744598293I bet you just like SM slop.
>>744600226problem is rogue trader was a very weird first pick. if anything I'd reverse dark heresy and rogue trader release order.
The stats and skills are ass and the whole archetype system is pure shit.A fun game, but mechanically broken.
>>744598293>What makes it so boring? You. You're doing it.
>>744598293CRPGs suck and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
>>744600789CRPGs are so varied that statement doesn't mean anything, though. We're long past those days when you had no choice but to play D&D shit and nothing else.
>>744600313I hope they have it in them to make one more 40k game. Black Crusade, hopefully. Tick SM and CSM with one box.
>>744598293No one ever shuts up, and everything is a wall of text whether it's talking about the room or how they're dressed which for a setting all about the violence and the shooting takes a long while.
>>744598293Not enough voice acting. Reading notes the modern gamer.
>>744600957I don't like how SM/CSM characters play in RT. Unless they change them, I'll hate having a whole party of them.
>>744598293>Hate 40k as a setting>Hate DnD as a setting>Love CRPGs>Enjoy Pathfinder>Hate Rouge slopThe truth is that Owlcat simply dropped the ball with Rouge Trader but it gets massively shilled and forgiven by 40k sloppers who are desperate for 40k games that aren't complete shit.If Owlcat made a WHFB CRPG instead, it would have been way better. They can't into sci-fi.
>>744601229>The truth is that Owlcat simply dropped the ball with Rouge Tradernonsense. explain.
Play Mechanicus instead
>>744601229You'll never get a WFRP CRPG because it's ironically a horrible fit for it, especially for the Owlcat model. It would be like expecting a Call of Cthulhu CRPG. Which oddly enough exists.
>>744601923you know who would be a good fit? iron tower studios. guys behind age of decadence and colony ship.
>>744600058spbpIf I wanted to play turn-based, I’d just play tabletop with friends.
Owlcat really just has bad writers. That has always been my issue with all of their games. They seem decent enough otherwise, aside from the jank. But they can't write compelling characters or stories at all and instead assault my eyes with constant word salad that means very little.
It's a good game but it noticeably takes a nosedive starting act 4
>>744603064it's more that as one anon put it they're maximalists when it comes to design choices. with owlcat it's always put in more, more and more. revising and polish seem to always take a backseat. it's why they'll never get a wider audience and I want to see how the expanse turns out since they can't do their usual shit with a mass effect clone.
>>744600058>rtwhrtdead meme
Owlcrap can't make good games
>>744600390Rogue Trader fits more with their power fantasy fulfillment theme they've got going with Kingmaker and WOTR
>>744601809the second half of the game
>>744598293My biggest issue with Rogue Trader is the leveling system. It's overwhelming and you have to level up quite a lot of party members. Even if you follow Revan619's guides, leveling is still annoying. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of Owlcat's writing. An NPC telling me the entire history of the planet just doesn't feel immersive. It feels like someone who knows how to write books but is now writing for a video game. That being said, the game also does some things really well.
