Furthermore, while she will be in the X-Men film, there was no actual direct tie-in to it here. She didn't make reference to anything from the X-Men, they didn't even call her a mutant, she wasn't shown going to Westchester on the way to Xavier's school, any of that. They left that completely open for the actual X-Men director and writers to handle, only setting her off on the beginning of a better path, thanks to Peter.
