This game has got my blood boiling to a level where if you enjoy it I hope you're having a bad day right now. I just beat it on Veteran and it was by far the most tedious video game I have ever played. You literally have a braindead AI partner who does nothing but stand motionlessly in front of you when you're shooting, stand directly behind you to waste bullets spraying them into you, or walks directly into enemies with one hit kill moves, in which there are multiple. Every part is "that" part, going from boring as fuck puzzles you can solve 10 seconds after being in the room but need an entire minute to waddle around slowly pushing mirrors (repeat 3 times), to hard as shit gauntlets with randomly spawning enemies and dual bullet sponge minigun guys. There is just nothing "resident evil" about this game either. Only RE game I haven't beaten is zero so I should have a good idea what's going on, yet you begin the game and it's call of duty for half the entire first half with random flashbacks to entire plot points that are just waved away in a bizarre timeskip. Feels like random filler content or a spinoff game. Not to mention almost zero puzzles, routing or literally anything. Just a blah shitty action game. The only thing RE about it is having barely any inventory which sucks. 5 is like a downgrade of 4 in every conceivable way it's actually crazy, I can't think of another game like this. >what if we took a brainless action game with no puzzles or backtracking, and made the only downtime fidgeting with the most tedious and limiting inventory possible?>what if we just took the island, the part people didn't really like from 4, but made it the entire game?>how about instead of anything unique like a castle, we just go with a generic call of duty backdrop?
