I still think about what could have been...
It was little more than vaporware and slickly produced trailers.
>>744621082That's SE in a nutshell.
>>744620910yeah.
story would have been even worse, combat would have been slightly better. The open world would be just as shit
>>744620910same here anon
i still liked ffxv not knowing versus 13i like how deep the movesets on the weapons are, i like how much fun the bros are to play with and as, i like armiger its fucking cooli dislike how lame the story is, i dislike how slow and boring the world is, the game is at its peak when you are dungeon delvingit should have had more dungeons and less whatever the fuck was going on for 80% of the story. the cutscenes and QTE segments were even pretty well choreographed and fighting the different gods/titans/whatever was, while very boring mechanically, very epic visually
Game design wise I feel like the FF7 Remake Trilogy is pretty much what they were attempting with this.Story, art direction and tone are obviously very different. But I still like the direction they went with for XV, it's just that even that final vision was rushed, if you rewatch the TGS 2014 trailer you can see that it's the final vision but much more polished, this is the game I wanted to play the most:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUyVRC52RZ8The road trip was by far the best part, so a game that fleshes that out more and gives you more impressive scripted encounters throughout your road trip would be way cooler. Just driving past the Adamantoise like this instead of the hunt spawning him as a target would be so much more fun.
>>744621082How much of the trailers were in engine and how many were just FMV?
>>744620910Firing Sakaguchi and canceling VS13 were the biggest contributing factors to the death of FF.
>>744623047I'd think Mistwalker developed some pretty decent games. If Sakaguchi had stayed at Square, we would have probably never gotten Lost Odyssey.
