Games now barely look any better than before but somehow always required latest hardware, why is that?
>>
>>744622314
you already know the answer
>>
>>744622314
it's the 80/20 rule where doing 80% of the work to make the game look good takes no real effort but the last 20% takes dual 5090's
the problem is that last 20% probably isn't actually worth it and in some cases is subjectively worse than the simple shit you used to do the first part.

so games keep shipping with bigger textures and more complex shaders to try hit the marketing beat of "good grafix" but I dunno if anyone cares.
that being said I dont think system requirements will be creeping up any time soon now that no one will have flagship cards anymore.

Diminishing returns and improvements that you’re overlooking.

Like the anon said, the answer is ALWAYS aaaalways simple : Moneeeeeey. El dollaaaarinooo, el $$$.

How else is our asian kikelord at Nvidia and his cousin kikebitch at AMD gonna sell you their newest overpriced card huh??

Devs stopped working on proprietary engines and degenerated into slider-movers on the Unreal Suite, which itself is unomptimized one-size fits all live-service license trash (the hardware demands for which rise with new """"updates """""").

the answer as always is consoles.
>>
>>744622314
>save money on inhouse engines cuz you can now hire jeets all """trained"""" on UE5
>forces the consumer to get the next device
>kills everyone on perfectly usable low end devices
>insidiously forces cloud services as an alternative to buying new consoles

Its a win win win win win for them

It's actually insane that 99% of the GPU market is controlled by two people from the same family and it's just treated as normal. Teddy Roosevelt would have been rolling up to Nvidia/AMD HQ with a fucking cavalry brigade but our modern pussy politicians are just like "Wow, the entire AI hardware market is controlled by two Taiwanese immigrants from the same family who totally aren't colluding on pricing or strategy, please donate to my gay ballroom"

Diminishing returns and games have shifted into a ridiculously more expensive lighting system.
Yeah great man look the lighting is 5% more realistic to how it would be in real life, but the game now can barely run at 30 fps without DLSS upscaling where as before I'd be able to get 200 FPS at native resolution.

Yep, well said.
And isnt RAM being manufactured and controlled mostly by freakin Koreans? they're all in bed with one another and no one seems to bat an eye. Clown world
>>
>>744622314
Because the goyim must purchase another video card to play a goyim unreal engine game
>>
>>744622314
this can't be real
>>
>>744622314
not a single good looking game there

Most obvious zoomie faggot award goes tooooo..

Shutup idiot. He's right.
Original Crysis was unplayable too, it had toggle aim down sights.

The why of a lack of visual upgrade is resolution increase.
