I went back and replayed bully a year ago. I loved it as a teenager. Gotta say, it’s aged like milk. Everything feels so vapid in a way I can’t fully articulate.I hope they’ll make a sequel one day, but I doubt it’ll be any time soon

Bully is a great concept but it just needed more time in the oven. I really loved how it's open world but the map is small so everything has much more time devoted to it and feels alive. Each NPC has their own name and personality, each student has their own fighting style, etc. You can't get that in a game like GTA where the map is big and there are thousands of NPCs. But a lot of Bully feels unfinished and unrealized.

For example, you can see they wanted you to fear the strong cliques at the start of the game, but you can just spam punch and beat them all. The bullying mechanics (asking for money, for example) are never used because you can just spam punch and win.
