i just beat persona 1, it was pretty good for what it is. now i'm finally not a larper who's only played 3, 4 and 5 anymore. looking forward to playing the 2 duology, might do that before 4 revival comes out.

next i want to play some GTA, that recent repack of III, Vice City and San Andreas gives me the perfect excuse to finally try and finish those. i've only ever managed to finish gta v before.

it's clearly a more old style of JRPG, but i didn't hate it. it's fine once you get used to it. the bits that i found a little annoying about it were the experience system which favors the party members that actually kill demons (which leads to certain members having a hard time catching up) and the distance system which means that depending on your formation certain enemies will only be able to get hit by half your party. it's kinda janky, but i think it's worth playing. i quite liked the story, and the game is pretty short. only took me like 25 hours.

There are some fighting games and MMOs (pic related) that I have played this year, but I don't generally count those as they aren't really beatable.

Couple of years ago, I decided that I would start reducing the size of my backlog. I had been buying more games than I would manage to play in a year, so my backlog grew.
As long as I reduce the size of my backlog about 3 games a year, it "runs out" when I die.
I think this is the perfect and most manageable goal to have. You are not blocking yourself from buying new games, you can still play what you want and buy what you want. You just have to make sure the overall size reduces each year.

Now I have games that I kinda want to play, play them when I feel like playing them, and if I don't enjoy them a few hours in I just drop them.
